What's new

Donovan had some bad turnovers… but thought his passing was good and his defense is really good. If he had shot the ball from three tonight I’d say he had a great game. I think it was a solid game. He had probably three passes for layups that became fouls… so think his assists were a little lower than they should have been.

I thought this was interesting. Look at Rudy’s stats for this year. Career highs in pts and rebounds. Career lows in blocks. He’s averaging .5 blocks right now. His rookie year he averaged .9. The previous 7 years he averaged over 2 and last year he had a career high 2.7 blocks per game.

Is it too early to come to any conclusions here? Is our sample size too small or has the league adjusted to Rudy?

That was a good game intially spoiled by the unfortunate Jokic injury. Luckily Whiteside saved it. That sequence and the commentary cracked me up. "We've got pushing, we've got shoving, we've got separation!" Hilarious and made funnier by the fact that they ejected both players over nothing. The bench unit with Conley and Gobert played about 3 good minutes and it was over.

Paschall was very good tonight. Solid
On defense all night… had one great sequence… good on the glass and makes the right plays. I was worried he would be too much of a ball stopper but his passing has been really good. I was sad when we brought Bogey in for him.

I was very skeptical about Paschall because his main skill was getting buckets...but he's been impressive in his role. He's done a good job playing within the team and he's definitely got talent/skill. It sucks that he can't shoot and I do wonder if that will catch up at some point, but he's still making a positive impact in other ways.

If we win Thursday and the bulls also win you have bulls versus Jazz both teams undefeated and I will feel like it’s 1998 again… let’s make it happen.

When they ignored him he put the ball on the deck and made some nice plays. His shot has looked okayish and I think he’s clearly focused on it working. I think we found something with the kid.

If he defends he's fine and can be a nice player for this team. His ability to put the ball on the floor and make plays makes him passable on offense but at the end of the day you really want a wide open shooter to be able to make a wide open shot and I'm not so optimistic about that. Whiteside is playing well, but I'm still intrigued by Paschall at the 5. I think he could really feast in the paint if he was the one setting screens with a spaced floor. It's tough though. He's more of a defensive 4 and an offensive 5.

I thought the crowd was really weak tonight. The only time they got really loud all night was when they were trying to get free Chick-fil-A.
There wasn’t much momentum ever built in the game as Denver kept scoring on almost every possession. Hard to get the crowd into it when the opponent matches you point for point. There was something like 20 lead changes in that first quarter. As soon as you rose up to cheer Joker, Gordon, or Porter was scoring a layup.

I feel like Conley has it dialed in pretty well after some misadventures in the first game. Jingles is 7 of 12. Clarkson and Mitchell are really bringing us down here. . .
Bojan is 5/16.
Royce is 3/11.

Glad for the win, but an unimpressive performance. It felt like a low-intensity game all night long that frankly wasn’t very fun to watch.

Our defense remains piss poor and Bogey is a big culprit. It would be amazing if we could find an upgrade for him via trade.
