Because in a short Shot clock he is really the only player on our team that can create his own shot. While I agree that paying him $15 million is to much its the contact he came with not the one the Jazz gave him and it seems like most other teams agree with you also. Over payed for what he brings. But he still brings a skill we don't have without him.
 
TOP CHUCKERS

Here are the top chuckers on the second unit. Al is thrown in for comparison. The formula is shots per 36 divided by shooting %. Eventually it punishes you for taking lots of shots even if you shoot at a good %.

1. TOP chucker is Foye (15.3/.27) = 56.7
2. Favors (13.9/.25) = 55.6
3. Al (14.2/.41) = 34.6
4. Kanter (14.5/.51) = 28.4
5. Carroll (12.2/.43) = 28.4
6. Burks (12.3/.49) = 25.1

That's right; Burks is the lowest chucker on the 2nd unit and maybe the team behind J. Evans.

But if he's being utilized less in the one area where he's better than other Jazz players, wouldn't that make him less valuable? That is, if he's only going to be needed in short shot clocks a handful of times per game, couldn't the loss of points on those possessions (which might be in the neighborhood of 1 point per game) be made up for with players who excel in other areas? Would Enes's better rebounding, transition play and defense make up for the lost late shot clock points?

After watching Kanter play D tonight, I am more confident in him than ever. I think you see how he does over the next 10 games during the regular season, and if it's apparent that he is taking the next step, you move Al.

Agreed.
Jefferson is flowing with the offense, and not forcing anything.
The guy is a great team player, and I'm sure he knows it. A lot of that has also rubbed off on Kanter, and both of them are passing wonderful out of the double team.
Almost a stark contrast of last years Jazz.

To me Millsap has been the worst of the 4 bigs with Favors a close second. Sap is forcing almost everything IMO and just seems off his game. Favors has been piss poor on offense but he Defense is as good as usual.

I agree about Millsap. He's trying to do too much instead of letting the game come to him.

I'll bite: It's pre-season. Most veterans aren't trying to prove themselves in the pre-season. I don't think his contributions thus far are something to be excited about, but I guess let's see how the regular season goes.

Let the record show that I never wanted the bum to begin with, though.
 
Give Jackson a bonus for shoving that jackass on the Clippers. The game was over yet he was grabbing for the ball.

And is there a more punchable face in the league that Matt Brarnes.
 
Big crap craperson took the most shot of anybody and 5 jazz players scorted as much or more than big all crapperson.

he is taking way to many shots, not going to the ft line, he is to slow, and not playing defense
 
When Marvin Williams breaks out this year, who is going to take more blame? Joe Johnson or the Atlanta Hawks?
