Off-Season Rumblings

Danny wants Shep. I feel it in my bones. Fit with Key or whoever else be damned.
Wouldn't shock me. Shep and Clingan are the 2 best prospects on my board with Sarr, Castle, Risacher types a tier lower. BPA at the top of the lottery works better than drafting for fit, esp for a team like the Jazz looking for a franchise star. There's the size issue with Sheppard but every single prospect in this draft has some kind of wart.

Nice board.

Scanned his page to see if he had any rumor that was probably false and I found this. Safe to say he is full of ****.

But props to Stein for being on the money.

This is probably the wrong thread for this….but there was definitely some kind of standoff between the Jazz, Pacers, and Wizards. Pacers wanted Jarace, Jazz and Wizards wanted Bilal. 28 was more than the Wizards paid to move one spot up, but they did a good enough convincing IND that they would take Jarace at 8. IND didn’t want to settle for Hendricks at 9.

I think he just creates rumors for things he wants to happen to try and speak them into existence because if is doing it for likes and follows, he is getting nearly zero engagement despite doing it consistently for years

OKC was very involved as well. Per Fred Katz and Andrew Schlect.

Sheppard, Risacher, and Sarr. Those are the only 3 I would be willing to part with significant capital to move up for. Castle and Clingan are probably 4&5 on my board, but they are a tier down from those 3.

Sheppard makes some sense for the Jazz. He can play on or off the ball. He puts another playmaker on the floor. He can shoot the **** out of the ball. He should also be able to get by more or less on defense, though he may get hunted for his size.

Him and Keyonte would make us one of the smallest backcourt in the NBA though defensively we would be a sieve.
