If he opts out, but doesn't sign the 5 year max, I imagine that he'll sign an 2 year max deal with a player option for the 2nd season (like LeBron and Durant both have done). It's risky, but he's steadily improved each year he's been in the league. . . and he's already bet on himself once before. I'm hoping that he just signs the 5 year max the Jazz can give him, and ensures himself the most guaranteed money that he can get now so the Jazz don't have to keep doing this.
