Offer to Cavs for #1 is to draft Wiggins not Parker

It better be Wiggins if they trade Favors and #5 for #1

The other option is... Sliding Kanter to center and playing Jabari next to him?

They will allow 110 ppg

Who did he confirm with? This just does not sound very Jazz to me. Id hate to give up Favors, but for Wiggins I can get on board as long as this is a whole reboot. We have alot of pieces that do not fit.

I was gonna post this in a recent Parker thread but I will here since this one is about both players.

Everyone keeps saying Parker is essentially the most NBA-ready player and will win ROY and yet this is the same guy who was taken out of games near their ends by Coach K. This is the same guy who's gained weight and has a body fat percentage far above that which we should see by good, let alone great, NBA players. The same guy whose defensive play is pretty much abysmal. Why do we think at the next level his poor conditioning and tweener status will then translate to success against far better athletes who are longer and more skilled? I think we and Jabari are in for a rude awakening at just how badly he'll struggle on defense and just how difficult he'll find it to find his shot in the NBA.

Wiggins on the other hand, who felt so underwhelming this year because of ridiculous expectations (despite going for 17.1 points on respectable shooting of 49/33/77, with 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks while bringing near elite defense), should find much easier ways to score on a nightly basis through fast break opportunities, putbacks off the offensive glass, alley-oops, and so forth, while also bringing relatively good defense and doing everything else that shows up in a stat sheet.

Regarding Parker's weight gain, I recall Kevin Love working his *** off after his freshman year because his body had been so soft, and Love's work paid off. He shed the pounds and body fat percentage dramatically. He knew what was at stake. He had the drive and professionalism we sorely need here. Parker's done nothing to show us any of that.

I worry about Wiggins alphaness or lack thereof but the fact that he put up the year he did despite these supposed personality flaws speaks volumes about the kid's skill and potential.

Wiggins should be the pick and it's not even close.

I'm listening to Spence and Checketts right now and Spence said that a front office guy that was a former GM called him just before their show and confirmed that the Jazz had contacted Cleveland with the offer but it was for Wiggins and not Parker. Spence said he completely trusts his source.

They will have Lindsey on their show at 5pm MDT and said they will ask him about it. We know how Lindsey will respond to that question, but I am curious if they will ultimately even ask the question.

I think this is a very fair trade:

Jazz get: Wiggins

Cavs get: Favors and Vonleh/Embiid/Gordon

Really though, I'd say don't offer anymore than that.

I think Parker is a safer pick, but Wiggins has more upside. I'd be perfectly happy with either. I think we will be better soon if we draft Parker, but Wiggins might be better in 3 years.

Hope Favors hears this ish (because I highly doubt this trade happens) and comes out super motivated this year.

Maybe they could pull this deal off and Sign Gortat for 3 years.

Burke - Clarkson (#23) - Garrett
Wiggins - Burks
Hayward - Marvin?
Kanter - Jarnell Stokes(#35) - Evans
Gortat - Gobert
