Well, I think this thread can be un-stickied now. I watched some of the Olympics in the evenings this past week while on vacation. I enjoy watching the races up to about 1500m. It's hard to stay interested in the longer ones. The USA needs a brash arrogant distance runner like Steve Prefontaine to compete with the Kenyans, Morroccans, and Ethiopians that dominate the longer distances.

A judo player and three other members of the Democratic Republic of Congo's Olympic delegation have been missing in London since the weekend, according to Reuters.

I'm guessing they woke up in some hotel without any memory of the previous night with a baby in the closet and a tiger in their bathroom...

India and Indonesia have such pathetic showings for how populous their countries are.

They clearly need to take the Chinese approach of sending people to schools to make kids take up sports that the government thinks they would be well-suited for.
