Official 2015 NBA Draft Thread

You clowns. We got a top 10 player in this draft. Anyone who hates on Trey Lyles just wasn't paying attention - the kid has game. Just watch.

He could be arguably BPA and a good fit. He'll replace Kanter well. He'll move the ball, hit open looks, drive when he has space. He's a mature kid.

I wouldn't be upset with the pick if Booker hadn't been there. I think Devin is gonna be Klay Thompson esque.

But what the hell do I know, Lindsey has been pretty good at this stuff so far. Hoping for the best from Lyles.

Listened to 700 am for a minute....

Lyles is a 4, he is not long enough enough to gaurd 5, nor quick enough to gaurd 3. He is a stretch 4 who shot less than 20% from 3, and 37% from the field. He is not a defender, not gifted scorer. Not long, not fast. Radio heads can't figure it nor can the ever positive coach Chiesa who could only describe him as a long term project which makes zero sense.

Turned it over to the 1280 crew,

Monsoon says, lyles has a great looking shooting stroke, he just doesn't make a lot...my head nearly exploded.

Damn Jazz, I can't wait for this Kentucky trash project to get traded in 2019 for a European scrub and a second round pick.

Terry Rozier over all these PG's.... damn I always had him over Delon. Terry is one of the only Louisville players ive been partial towards over the years.

And there goes the reported promise Rashad Vaughn to 17.

He's taller than Favors, and could weigh 260 once he fills out. Could easily play center against small ball lineups.

To be fair:
-He was able to compile assets to move up and grab Trey, but who has been a disappointment.
-Grabbed Exum and Hood, both of whom were largely considered BPA at their spots after they fell.
-His tanking plan got us Exum who is still a question mark and that's about it.
-Got Rudy Gobert after he fell like crazy but traded into the pick.

In conclusion, he went and got Rudy which is A TON, but his savvy either flopped or he just grabbed the obvious guy on the board in the other scenarios. I don't think he's Jesus but I was hoping.

[TD]Still somewhat of a mystery because the ex-Kentucky forward had to contort his game to fit the role UK needed him to play last season. The Wildcats had a glut of frontcourt talent, so Lyles became a 6-foot-10 small forward in a two-post offense. While he isn't a liability defending the perimeter, his more natural position in the NBA is probably power forward. The skilled, versatile rookie should add to the strength of an already formidable Utah frontcourt.Marc J. Spears' grade: A+.
