Expectation wise, Texas had a better season than Kentucky.
Also, since Kentucky will most likely lose tomorrow, saying that Texas' season is over and Kentucky's isn't is a fairly stupid argument. If things go like they should, they'll both lose out in the same round. I don't think most people would have expected that to happen at the beginning of the season.
