What's new

Official Game Thread: "Uh oh, it's Magic" at Jazz...Saturday, 4/21, 8:30pm MT

Found some lower bowl tickets for $25 a piece Thursday evening. Snatched those suckaz up immediately. Friend and I are stoked for tonight. Jazz win, of course.

Are any of our injuried players going to be available? CJ has been out for quite a while.

Dont think so, Josh Howard is gonna try and play tuesday vs suns. Raja plans to be available post season if we make the playoffs. Haven't heard jack about Cj, forgot he was even on the team TBH.

Looks like Carroll is in the starting line-up so he must be ok.

Josh Howard is going to try to force it on Tuesday to show he's healthy for his upcoming free agency. I see no reason to play the guy being he hasn't been on the court in a month. Let him get some garbage time on Thursday (assuming The Jazz are either out of it or blowing out Portland)

I'm fine with him playing Tuesday. We can use his energy, and ability to make plays and rebound, with that said I don't want him getting extended minutes. Howard's been out a while now and will probably be rusty offensively. He should get 7 to 10 minutes at the most. Bring him along slow. He might be good to have off the bench come playoff time.

I bet the Jazz weren't planning on Houston going on a 6-game losing streak and falling out of the playoffs. It wouldn't surprise me if a couple other players get back into the rotation if we go to the playoffs.

BTW, that game with Phoenix will definitely have playoff implications even if Phx falls a game back of the Jazz. They have the tie-breaker on us.

Since the suns lost today our whole season comes down to Tuesday. We win tonight and tuesday we are in!

We can rest Thursday

The Jazz do need a backup SF. Howard could be huge in a limited role if he is truly ready to come back.

Josh Howard is playing for Josh Howard right now. If he was under contract for next season there is no way he'd be playing. This coupled with Corbin's history of just throwing minutes at veterans could be a problem.

Howard should only play in an emergency Tuesday. Most important game of year I do not want him screwing it up. Other guys need to finish. They got us here

Hopefully JunkyardDawg will keep starting, and Howard comes off the bench vs quicker SFs. Keep using Millsap at SF vs the bigger SFs.

Finally caught up to the season! At one point I was 5 games behind. Fascinating season for me not knowing statistics as I watch the games and having to get all my info from Boler and Harp. Thought we were toast after the NO loss, then Memphis. But that Dallas game was a thing of beauty. With Phoenix losing today, they just can't lose this game. I hate the mojo with Howard out, but I believe in this team. Go Jazz!

I'm glad you aren't dead. Here's some rep for your return.

Nah, man. My work schedule combined with this crazy lockout season made it impossible for me to keep up. I missed the boards, but I DVR the games and I've just had to keep pace. Crazy thing is I went to the Lakers game out here 2 games behind. I was terrified I'd learn the Jazz record, but I managed not to see it on any of the arena screens. Awesome, awesome game that was. Kobe was so horrific! I kept saying out loud that he would undoubtedly come back to life in the second half, but he never did, and my cheering about that upset my seat neighbors.

If that quarter brings any good news, it's that Orlando can't possibly be that good for the rest of the game. JRick destroyed us.

**** me. We're back to the "feed the ball to Jefferson on every play" strategy. It kills the ****ing game. It guarantees everyone plays like **** on both ends. I simply don't want to make the playoffs if that's what we got waiting for us. **** it.

Why are the jazz so abysmal at guarding the three point line even when they know that that's the only way the other team can hurt them?

It just seems odd.

yeah my thoughts too. al can score pretty well yet when he's the main vocal point it seems to kill the team.
