Official Jazz workouts thread

Not that it's terribly relevant here, but race is more definitive than ethnicity. For example, the Asian ethnicity includes multiple races, such as Chinese, Mongolian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Cambodian and Fillipino. Caucasians include Anglo-Saxons, Germanics, Scandinavians, Italians, and a bunch of European races I barely even know about.

Seems backwards to me. Race is a much broader term that refers to a person's physical appearance, such as skin color, eye color, hair color, etc. (e.g., race = caucasion)

Ethnicity relates to cultural factors such as nationality, culture, ancestry, language and beliefs. Ethnicities within the Caucasian race include Irish, Welsh, German, French, Slovak, etc.

So, for example, in your post "Asian" is not an ethnicity nor is it a race (It is a regional term, like I would say someon is "European" whether they are British, Spanish or Turkish. Second example, "Thai" refers to a Thai nationality, which neither a race nor an ethnicity (there are many ethnicities in Thailand: Akha, Bru, Cham, Teochew Chinese, etc.

Hope that helps

"Race" is a backward political concept. Nobody takes it seriously at all if you're talking about bodies. It has no business in this thread.

Yep, that's better

No feedback from the workout with Wolters vs. Kabongo? Sounds like everyone's tight-lipped.

The thing that sucked about the workout was that the Jazz weren't available to media afterwards. Hopefully next time we hear something
