What's new

Official: July 11th - July 21st, 2014 Las Vegas Summer League

I saw some early minutes of Vonleh(During halftime of the Wiggins-Jabari matchup), his footwork looked good, he had a few nifty moves was getting compliments from the analyst, obviously he didnt finish any though >< .

2 of my favorite young low cost players Jeremy Tyler and Will Barton are balling early in this Knicks v. Trailblazers game

Cleanthony Early looks good too.

Toronto vs the Lakers in 15 mins.

Caboclo makes his debut!
Lol

That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen

Bruno Caboclo and Gary Harris both looking good for their respective teams early right now.

The Suns SL roster is serious. Their GM is young and really smart, apparently he knows all the prospects in all the leagues, of all ages, off the top of his head, and expects the scouts to have knowledge of all the players as well.

TJ Warren looked exactly as he did in college in that game, great pick.

Alex Len broke his right pinky finger when it got caught in an opponent's jersey during his summer league debut Saturday night at Cox Pavilion. He will miss the rest of summer league play and have the finger examined in Phoenix on Monday. Len could not participate in summer league last year after having surgeries on each of his ankles. Because he was not cleared for full basketball activity until training camp last year, this summer was considered vital for the 21-year-old center's development. Len, 21, had added 10 pounds of strength since the end of his rookie season, in which he averaged 8.6 minutes in 42 appearances. - Arizona Republic

Damn... He looked good too, had a basket and 2 blocks to start the game.

Alex Len is going to be better than Aaron Gordon and Otto Porter. Centers typically take 2 more years to make the all star team than the other positions, continue to sleep on a 21 year old 7'1 265lb player who the Suns plan on playing some at PF this season, next to Plumlee.

I've rated Gordon's fingers and ankles to be 99.

Len's are rated at 69 and 55 respectively.

You've also rated Aaron Gordon higher than Dante Exum.

His stats from SL;

5 games 26.4 mins, 35% from the field, 47% from the FT line, 0-10 from 3, 5 rebs. 1.2 assists, 1.4 turnovers. 7.8ppg

Don't think I ranked anyone in the draft ever. Just said I liked Gordon better at the time.

Stauskas gonna put up some numbers. dude looked impressive. just plays with great BBIQ, knows how to take you off the dribble, and doesn't force his shots. needs to get stronger though

He reminds me of a young Manu Ginobli. Both could shoot, make you pay in multiple ways and dunk on you. Nice to see a white dude who can actually break the white guy stereotype of not being athletic or quick enough off the drive to get off his own shot a la Jimmer and Redick.

Here's another dude that's insanely athletic. Not sure if he'll make the Heat team though. He had a great year at Fresno last year.

And lastly, the best dunk of the summer league or probably the history of summer leagues.
