Even if he doesn't make the team, maybe it opens the door for him to sign with another. Doubtful, but maybe. I don't see him being better than guys in Europe like Jaycee Carroll and Ryan Toolson though, but I haven't watch him enough to know.

I could definitely see Stockton getting a training camp invite (either from the Jazz or another team) if he keeps it up this week.

Stockton the younger looked good out there again today. He just dogs his man on D, shares the ball first, pinpoint passer, drives or shoots the jumper when it's there. Smart like his dad. And he appears comfortable as the floor leader too.
If he keeps this up, KoC is gonna have an interesting problem...

Is he better than Watson? Tinsley?

Of course the invite was done as a favor to his father, just like the Millsap invite was done to create good will during extension talks with Paul.

Michael has clearly outplayed Blake - and it's not even close. Stockton may very well get a camp invite. Or he could get a European contract which would be guaranteed money. If he does go to camp, I don't see him having a shot at a roster spot. But he'd likely play in the D-League and be an injury call-up, just like Ahearn was.

If he could improve his shooting, he'd definitely might end up as journeyman PG. But he doesn't have the quickness or athleticism of his Dad. And no, he's not as good as Watson or Tinsley, though he probably is a better on-ball defender.

MoWill / Tinsely / Stockton -Send Watson to the practice squad, or IR, or amnestied...whatever.

How I see 2013 going is Mo gets injured, Tinsely wears down, and Stockton ends up starting and leading the league in steals and assists as a rookie.

Jazz get the 3rd seed in the West behind Stockton's tenacious play and end up going all the way to the WCF. Two years from now, Jazz win it all and Stockton hits the game-winner in OT of the Finals in game 7 over Lebron's (Barkley-like) extended arms.

And Favors is Malone, Hayward is Horny, Marvin is B. Russ, Kanter is Tag, and Blake Ahearn is the towelboy?

but it is NAIA... True but Scottie Pippen, Jack Sikma, Dennis Rodman, Terry Porter and Robert Whaley all played NAIA ball.

I am not saying that NAIA will never produce NBA players again.
is Stockton that guy?
that is the question.
Maybe, he is!

I just like how Stockton runs the team and how he hustles on defense. I wish the Jazz didn't have Watson so they could sign him to a contract and see if he develops his game. Perhaps when he is finished with his contract he can have another shot at making the team.
