Official Player Workouts for the Utah Jazz

he's got shake and explosiveness. Hard to keep him out of the lane.

he's got unlimited range.

he's got good size for his position.

(he's definitely not a good defender)

I feel like if Trey really gets stronger he could be like Lillard. Lillard was never the best player with the best qualities, but he worked as hard as he could to get where he is.

Just wondering, what elite skills does Damian Lillard have?

The ability to get into the lane whenever he wants.

Like NAOS said, he's got very good size for a PG.

He's got a great little floater, and he's had it since college.

You see, I'm one of the few that thought Lillard was going to be a star coming out of the draft. I was really, really high on him. Big hands, good shooter, high effort, ability to get into the lane…but that floater was what really did it for me.

Burke can't get into the lane, doesn't have very good size, not quick, not fast, and so far, he hasn't shot well.

Again, he can become a league average PG, but I don't ever see him becoming an above-average PG. That's why it wouldn't bother me if we drafted a PG.

Jazz have been scouting these guys all year. Not sure what a workout is going to add to the equation, tbh, unless there are certain questions that need answered. They probably already know where the top 5 - 7 players are on their draft board.

It just allows the Jazz to set the parameters and have control of what happens in the workouts.

Like fixed said.

He is a tremendous shooter.... decent size...... great athlete (he was in the dunk contest for gods sake)..... fast.... quick.

Much higher potential than burke could ever hope for

Why are other teams working them out then?

Could it be the Jazz are just trying to be last in case they can get a coach hired in the next week+? Then the new coach could attend the workouts of the first-rounders.

Good and reasonable point.

That is too rational of a perspective. Didn't you know that isn't allowed on message boards?

Holy crap jazz beat reporters are flooding twitter with juicy gossip following this mornings workout.

Jazz worked out Noah Vonleh in a private workout last week in New York. Jazz think he is a rotation guy from day one.
Jazz ranked Smart ahead of Trey last year. Jazz interviewed Marcus in Chicago, but it is doubtful he comes in for a workout.

Jazz really like Klimenko and some 6-5pg guy that worked out today.

thx for the info. rep'd

can ya post some tweets?

BTW, the 6'5" 'PG' is Jordan Clarkson. Missouri had a 2 headed attack this year, Jabari Brown shooting 3's and Clarkson getting to the rim. Clarkson however shot really well from NBA 3 at the combine, and theres been rumblings that his 3point shot is pretty good despite 28% from 3 this season.

He can really get to the rim, there's similarities with Burks.. hes a reach at 23, but i dont mind if hes the pick at 35.
