Yes, the league is weaker than ever before. Easily, actually. It's no coincidence that before San Antonio started resting people there were a possible of 2 70 win teams, and still a possibility of both of them going undefeated at home the SAME YEAR (it's never been done once, btw)
The players, on average, are probably better individually sure. Talents like Lebron, Durant & Leonard would have been top people in the league in the 90s and 80s for sure. But the game has certainly regressed. It's softcore, whiny and greedy above all else now - There are only a handful of TEAMS in the league, and most of them don't have the TALENT to compare to the 2-3 man teams that run both conferences.
Yes, you are on a bandwagon. The bandwagon of wanting the next Michael Jordan. The same bandwagon that has been praising Kobe, Melo, even Vince Carter once upon a time, and now Curry because everyone really wants to be apart of that sensation again of seeing the "best team" or "best player" ever. And the fact of the matter is Curry nor 15-16 Warriors are either.
That's fair enough - but it does get tiring to hear Steph Curry's name mentioned in every game, even those Warriors have nothing to do with, when he's literally a glorified chucker. Has he made some insane shots this year? Sure, but it's one year and being a great spot shooter does not make you a contender for even Top 20.
