Letsgooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Right on!!!!

Last night Houston and Dallas lost. I know I said it already but I wanted to say it again. Those losers lol. I hope they read this. Both your teams suck.

Tonight's recap AKA CL's Plan Step 1:

Spurs @ Grizz
Mavs @ Nuggets
Lakers @ Jazz (Let's send Kobe off right. With a 40 point blow out)
Kings @ Blazers (work that magic Rondo)

If the above teams win and lose that places the Jazz 4 games behind Memphis, 1/2 game behind Portland and 2 games ahead of Dallas.

OP updated. GO JAZZ!!

Also the Lakers are only 51 games back on the Warriors. There is still time to catch them. If they win the rest of their games and the Warriors lose the rest...through next season.

I hope we end up playing Golden State. We may get our butts kicked but it will be more entertaining. The Spurs just methodically beat the Jazz down and win. Either way, Go Jazz!

Single biggest game of the year will be the home game against the Mavs on the 11th.

Will be the Mavs 3rd game in 4 days all on the road. They end the season at home against the Spurs who will be playing their C team and I can't see Mavs losing that one. We end the season at Lakers so they'll be amped to send Kobe out on top so I'd rather have things sealed up.

Uhh, you still have to factor in the Blazers record.

The Warriors would just methodically rain 3 pointers on us and make Rudy Gobert unplayable. At least with the Spurs we match-up on paper decently. Gobert has given Aldridge fits through his short career and Favors has big games vs Duncan. The only huge problem is Hayward is terrible vs Leonard, but maybe the return of Burks (crosses fingers and knocks on wood) and good play from Hood would alleviate that.

I want Utah to crush Kobe. 0-11 for 0 points and a 40 point loss. No mercy, ever.

I'd rather see Kobe have a great last game and play Utah tough, with us coming out on top. He is one of the GOAT, I don't want to see him go out with a whimper.

I agree.
Also, regardless of matchups or what has happened in the past I would rather not play the best team in the history of the nba if it can be avoided.

Mathematically we can still end up with home court advantage.

I think we could potentially steal a game against the Spurs, but not banking on it with the Warriors. Thompson/Curry would just sit on the perimeter and rain on us all day and we can't defend it. The only way we win is if they have an extremely poor shooting night between the both of them and the analytics suggest that won't happen.

Would be extremely far-fetched, but it you were somehow to climb to the 5th seed, I would put money on us to beat the Clippers.

The Jazz worst two losses of the season were by 37 points and 25 points. Both of them were against the Spurs. The Jazz second worst home loss of the season was by 18 points. Also against the Spurs. (Only OKC beat us by more here).

Plus, and this is more subjective, but the Warriors/Jazz game in Utah back in November was one of the funnest, most entertaining games of the season to watch, even if we didn't get the win.

We'll be killed either way, but I think a series against the Warriors would be more fun to watch. Plus, at least we've proven we can play a competitive game against them. The Spurs have just consistently given us our worst losses of the year.

I would not put money on the warriors winning a playoff series against the spurs.

Get a W v. Kobe for Sloan! happy birth you ice pick fighting son of a gun!

"You officiated during the golden era of NBA basketball from Bird and Magic to Michael to now. What was that like when you sit back and think about it? Crawford: Kareem, [Hakeem] Olajuwon, Karl Malone [too] … everybody always forgets all these guys. I am very lucky, but I really didn’t appreciate them because I was reffing. When you are reffing, if you are doing your job you are trying to get them to adhere to the rules and it is hard some nights. I appreciated their competitiveness, but I didn’t appreciate those great, great moments. I appreciated [former Jazz coach] Jerry Sloan calling me a no-good … that used to be funny as hell. I used to tell a young referee, if you hit Jerry with a T, he would immediately call you a no-good mother ******… so I said when you call the first one, just get away from him because you are going to have to throw him [out otherwise].
