OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

How can you say we played them tougher when we lost every game but San Antonio beat them?

We've lost every game to both teams.

I'm not seeing the connection between GS being 2-1 against SA and who we would rather see in the playoffs.

Help me out.

Just heard on the radio that Golden State will decide today in a team meeting whether to go for the record or rest for the playoffs. They wanted to secure the #1 seed first before making the decision.

I think they're going to go for it.

Draymond Green has already stated he's all-in for the record.

I read your post as we played GS harder than SA played GS.

Ah. Understood.

I've said it 100 times, but there are just so many reasons id rather play GS than SA round one.

But I still think we have a decent chance that it will be OKC which would be awesome. We could definitely take them to 6.

Who can stop Durant and Westbrook on our team?

Conversely-- i have no doubts than Gobert can stop LMA, and Hayward/Ingles can deal with Kawhi. Every minute Porker plays will be easy buckets for our PGs. Green is still cold.

the Spurs do NOT worry me. Rodney Hood buzzsawed them-- if Kawhi takes him then that frees Gordon.

The Jazz played total **** for three quarters-- made a total of ZERO 3s-- and nearly won the game.

Imagine what the score would be if the Jazz didn't make a single three through three quarters against GSW.

One final note-- the Spurs won that game primarily due to their bench play vs ours

Fortunately, we have a 15PPG bench player about to join our ranks again tonight

Guys, the Spurs let off the gas in the 4th quarter. If you see Bonner out there it a clear indication that they were not giving us all they had to win that game. Believe me, we didn't see the Spurs we'd see in the Playoffs.

How can you say that? We've been blown out all but once against them.

They don't worry you at all? Huh? Are you saying we would beat them in a seven game series? Really?

With a straight face you can say that we have a better chance of beating the Spurs in 7 than the Thunder?

I know you hate them. But you are not thinking rationally.

I want the thunder but tbh all three of san antonio, golden state and Oklahoma city are very very good teams that are deep and have tons of talent and experience.

And I even think that there is a chance (kind of small one but still) that okc wins the title this year.

Westbrook and durant plus a pretty good supporting cast and decent bench are a nightmare on a similar level to the spurs and warriors.

Having said all that, I would much rather play the thunder than the spurs or warriors.

I'm 50/50 on who I would rather play out of spurs or warriors though.
A month ago I would have said I would rather play san Antonio but after our last game against the warriors (damn free throws), combined with the warriors losing to Boston and Minnesota, I have no idea who I would rather play.

I do think the warriors have the better homecourt crowd and higher ceiling than the spurs though. And they are the defending champs in case that has been forgotten.

So some of y'all are telling me you want to play the team who is undefeated at home and 4-0 against us this year rather than GS or OKC. Yeah, out of the three SA is the worst scenario.

I'll be happy to make the playoffs. It is extremely unlikely we will beat any of the top three seeds. So what. #realist

Bonner was out there because diaw didn't play that game.

Yeah we are probably not going to win a series. But I want it to be fun whoever we play. I hate watching okc. I would rather be 7 or 8.

We might have a slight chance at beating okc though, so that is something.

I think our team has proven they have a lot of fight in them, so I would guess that any series is going to be competitive and entertaining.

The Jazz shot a worse % from 3 against GSW than they did against San Antonio...

They also shot extremely well from the FT line against San Antonio. Against GSW though, holy hell.

I'd rather play GSW all day. We'd probably get swept by both teams, so I'd much rather play GSW since they are entertaining to watch.

Plus, we'll get a lot more national attention, and the media will have us more in mind going into next season.
