OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

Who do the Spurs want to play? Mavs or Jazz? If we win tonight do the Spurs rest everyone for the MAV V SAS and throw the game because they would rather play Dallas than a physical series against Utah in the first round?

I would say mavs. But I doubt they have given it much thought.

538 has the jazz as favored to eon this game, 72% to 28%

And 81% chance of making playoffs vs Houston 41%

This playoff race has been fantastic, and in the past week we will have witnessed the last (Probably) visit to the ESA of 3 great players. Duncan, Pierce and Nowitzki

Jazz have proven that they play better against the Warriors than the Spurs. Argue with the stats.

Jazz were full roster/properly acclimated with Mack being on the team for both home games.

I dunno guys-- I look at this Spurs Roster and I just see a team of players who'll **** themselves.

Kawhi has already choked before. LMA is a choke artist. Parker is almost unplayable. Danny Green? Lol. Timmy is dead. David West and Boris Diaw are the only players who you can put money on coming to the games prepared.

Conversely there is no way that Durant and Russ don't buzzsaw us. Don't get me started on GSW.

I want San Antonio. They don't want us-- it's obvious.

Timmy was already hobbling against the Jazz, then he took a pretty good tumble and was noticeably limping. He didn't play against the Warriors last night, but I was surprised to see he played 34 minutes in a loss to Denver.

The wheels fell off the Stockton and Malone wagon quite abruptly, even if they didnt have LMA or Kawai. I like the Jazz's chances against the Spurs, and to beat them would be EPIC.

The Rockets are desperate losers.

Harden scores 40 to help Rockets beat Lakers 130-110

HOUSTON (AP) James Harden shared a private moment with Kobe Bryant after leading the Houston Rockets to a crucial win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

Of course he congratulated Bryant on his illustrious career. But he also threw in a plea for assistance from the 18-time All-Star.

"On a side note I just told him: `We need y'all to beat Utah,"' Harden said. "We just need some help."

Harden scored 20 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter, and Houston kept its playoff hopes alive with a 130-110 victory. Utah won 100-84 at Denver, so the Rockets remained one game behind the Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Rockets close out the regular season with Minnesota and Sacramento. The Jazz play Dallas before finishing the season on Wednesday against the Lakers in Los Angeles.

Bryant laughed when asked about Harden's request.

"He did. He did," Bryant said. "I said `Well they beat us by 40 the last two times we played them, so third time's the charm."'

I agree, I see some weaknesses guys who get tired, or just old vs youth and young legs- just look at least season when the Clippers beat them and we all know the clippers are chokers maximus themselves. I just want in the playoffs any position will do 6,7,8 and just want to see Rockets fail again.
Lets just get in - take care of business win the next two that is what we can control.

I guess you didn't watch the annual beat down in SA. The Jazz haven't won in SA since they open the new arena. Maybe one win but most of the games haven't even been close in SA. Kawhi just made the winning shot against the Jazz. Jazz have no realistic chance against the big 3 western teams this year. They need to get everyone healthy and find some veteran scorers that can come off the bench. However, sports is a funny thing and upsets happen. I just think beating SA in their building would be an upset for the ages.

I would rather see the Jazz play either GS or OKC. I don't think the Jazz can win more than one game against those two teams but I think the games would be more competitive.

Today is my wife's birthday. I got my sin up early to help make breakfast in bed. We went in with breakfast and he said "mom, it's your BIRTHDAY!" and I asked him what we say on mom's birthday, hoping to hear happy birthday. What does he say though?

DE-FENSE!
Sounds like you have a great sin.

My brother just called me and invited to go with him to tonight's game! Row 4 behind the jazz bench! Best seats I ever had! (Previous best was row 13)
My mom is coming to my house to paint a picture on the nursery wall and I was excited to spend some time with her but this is like a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Sorry mom.

So excited bros.

I was going to get tickets to a game for the boys and I about 2 weeks ago. It was for the Lakers game. But the tickets were sold out. So, I ended up looking for the next best game that matched my schedule. It was the Mavs game. We got the best seats left for the budget. 9th row in the upper bowl end line. We haven't been to a game all season, so this is going to be A M A Z I N G ! ! ! Even if they aren't the best seats I have two of the best fan buddies you can ask for and we are going to live it up. GO JAZZ! I believe!!!

Cheer loud!!!!!!!!
I have a feeling the crowd is going to be crazy with it being the last home game of the year and all that's riding on this game.

I was at the warriors and spurs games. So loud and crazy. I lost my voice and my ears felt like I had been at a rock concert.
