Official Prediction

4th in the Tank, 2nd in the darft to Boston. They take Parker, the Jazz take Wiggins, and Danny Ainge has a Sam Bowie albatross on him for the remainder of his career as a GM.

This would be so legit.

Scenario #3: GSW gets knocked out of the playoffs, wins lottery. Jazz get #2 with their own pick. Take McDermott #1, Saric #2.

Dat app doe.

We will finish 5th in the tank race but get the 3rd pick. Not even a guess. Its fact.

I'm calling 5th in the tank race and the 2nd pick. Jazz pick Parker, Wiggins, Exum, Embiid in that order based on who declares and who is still on the board.

Jazz tie lakers for the 4th and 5th spot. Jazz lose coin toss. Take the 5th spot. Jazz win lottery and pick 1st. Jazz draft Andrew Wiggins.

not

My "dream" prediction:

Jazz finish with the 5th worst record, but we land the #2 pick.
Golden State collapses in the final week of the regular season and misses the playoffs by one game, they miraculously land the #1 pick in the lottery.

I think the Jazz have this worked out and end up 4th in the lottery seedings. Jazz will win one more game. The Celtics will win their 2 remaining games against the Bucks. D'Antoni will try to save his job and score another win or two with his hungriest players who are trying to stay in the league.

The Jazz will score a top-5 pick, and if it's not top-3, they'll offer one of their young players and/or both their picks to move up.

I the Jazz land the 1st and 2nd pick by some miraculous alignment of the heavens who do you take?

Wiggins and Parker?
Parker and Exum?
Wiggins and Embiid?
Embiid and Parker...?

You don't have Wiggins and Exum up there.

I'd probably do Wiggins w/ the 1st, then depending on where Orlando and Philly landed, I'd offer to trade the 2nd pick to one of them for their 2 lottery picks and snag Exum, Randle, or A. gordon w/ the 1st of those and Zach Lavine or McDermott w/ their 2nd.

I'd take Wiggins and Parker, let them battle it out to see who is the better player...it'll be "healthy" competition. But one of those two with Embiid would be very intriguing.

The NBA would never let that happen, Unless Silver is a closet Jazz Fan, or a Closet Mormon.

I'm sure there area bunch of name combos that I didn't post. That is where the "..." comes in.

wiggins/embiid imo

wiggins/embiid imo

This year should be a swing for the fences home run draft for the jazz imo. Forget the safer pick.
Embiid and wiggins have the highest ceiling/most potential. Hope at least one of them is the homerun

Wiggins and Embiid... there's really no debating it.
We have good bigs on the team already, plus Embiid already has a history of back issues which is something you can't ignore. What we don't have is a reliable scoring wing. I'd be more inclined to get the two best wings in the draft and hopefully one turns out to be the superstar we need.
