Official Round 1 Predictions: Jazz-V-Thunder

Only 3 dumbasses have contributed to the thread so far. Some are yet to get on, like Shad, but will surely give their dumbass 2c.

Because Portland is playing them. Crazy tiebreaker rules and whatnot... The impact of last nights game was home court advantage in round 1, and who we face in round two. WHEN we get to round 2, we will face Minnesota. I personally wanted payback against GS, and I think we can beat them. I may be delusional, but my imaginary friends agree with me, so that has to count for something.

This series is a pick em. I know DM is a rookie but I believe he is a little bit of a savant and I don’t think he poops the bed. I’m honestly more worried about Ricky playing bad and trying to do too much... we need Rick Curry to show up for a game or two.

That's why last night encouraged me. It was a big game and, aside from foul trouble, he played really well.

We would have played OKC even if we won. I think we win in 6.

We would have played OKC with home court advantage and momentum. Last night's effort was awful, and it was for the division title and critical HCA. To me, it's evidence to me that the team isn't prepared for high pressure situations. As of today, I feel Thunder in 5 or 7 is realistic.

Holy **** guys... 3rd game in 4 nights. Went from LA to Utah to Portland. They had rest, home crowd, and the refs in their back pocket. We. Are. Fine.

I'm feeling this. Still residually bummed about the loss, but feeling a bit more excited about the playoffs. Still hard to believe the turnaround!

Actually one more:

We need @Douchebag K to make a statement that it is mathematically impossible for the Jazz to win a championship. And if they do he will change his legal name to match his board name. Seems a worthy sacrifice.
Lol

Jazz in 5.

We win game 1 but a decent amount and they get scared. We win game 2 in a close battle. We overlook them in game 3 and they get a win. Game 4 we blow them out and then Melo and PG13 give up and look to next season. Game 5, they put in almost no effort except Westbrook tries to win the game by himself but runs out of steam in the 4th quarter and is inefficient for the game and shoots them out of it.

There are no easy matchups in the playoffs... we might lose and most think we will... its a no lose unless we just get run (which won't happen).

People reading too much into the loss last night have a perspective problem imo. I was disappointed, but it happens.

I love that people are so negative about 1 loss to Portland that the Jazz clearly didnt care that much about winning. Winning that game made 0 difference to the players or the coaching staff. We were going to play the same team regardless and the seed is meaningless to the players/coaches. They dont care about home court. They dont care about 2nd round opponent. Clearly the Jazz effort was lacking in that game but for good reason.

Some of ya'll cast off months of great play for 1 meaningless game and are basing everything off that. Not counting what we did when we had to win against playoff teams like Ws, LAC and Minny.

Handlogten is right that we were tired, and it really showed. We didn't have the legs to shoot. But I agree that we are not mature enough yet to be a high-pressure team. If I'm wrong I'll be happy about it, but that's the way I see it right now.
