OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

**** yes. If we trade Sap for Bledsoe then S&T Jeffy in the offseason for a reasonable third big I will be pissing my pants with excitement.

Hoopshype says Spurs will not trade for Smith or Big Al...
I'm pretty sure most of us were not convinced they were all that interested. I mean sure, if we're willing to trade him for d-leaguers most teams have some interest.

My source says Marvin the Marv is gone. Also says the Bledsoe to jazz thing is going down, maybe. Don't know who for though. I personally hope al Jefferson is gone

So, it's possible that the Lakers are open to the idea of trading Dwight. If that's the case, then other deals may be put on hold while this all shakes out.
I don't believe the Lakers are really interested in trading Howard. If they do, it will be over Jerry Buss'...I mean Buss would turn over...Oops, too soon!

AS for the Jazz, I guess the Spurs have officially made their job easier, although it does mean the Clippers might demand more. I predict Utah stands pat. Once LAC re-signs CP3, maybe the Jazz can still get Bledsoe for whoever they've drafted this summer + a future first.

It appears that the Clips have terminated talks with Boston. Does that increase the possibility of a Clips/Jazz trade?

Weird to think if Millsap is traded, he just played his last game in a Jazz uniform. Even weirder is we would face him in LA on Saturday.

Al, Evans, and some mix of Watson, Bell, and Carroll if need be

For

Odom, Butler, Bledsoe

Clips don't have a defense without Jordan, using Al as a super sub next to Chauncey is almost too perfect. Clippers fill a skill-set they have absolutely none of at the moment in addition to the depth that immediately improves their bench pretty dramatically.

I'm not that high on Splitter personally. I also think SJax is often high.

Sap's had a good run with the Jazz. Got picked. Got developed. Got to start. He's going to get a good deal and get treated like a pro wherever he goes.

Hey check his out ---

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiret...t-Round-Pick-Roy-Offer-From-Wolves-For-Mozgov

The T'wolves offer a 1st round pick for an expiring 12th man, and all you have to do is take back Brandon Roy's 1-year @ $5M deal. Somehow, the Nuggets said no.

Seems like the T'wolves just want to save a bit of salary.

I've got 2 words: Raja and Bell

Edit: Oh, it looks like the T'wolves would want to re-sign Mozgov. Hmm. That means they want a serviceable player. We'd have to give them Demarre or Foye or something. Brandon Roy's contract next year isn't even guaranteed.

C'mon. A first-round pick from the T'wolves could be Marcus Smart or Anthony Bennett.

I actually really hate the configuration of this trade that nets us Caron Butler. What a waste. Especially because Corbin would probably play him. In playing with the trade machine it seems like we could fill that same slot with Lamar Odom who's deal is at least expiring at the end of this season.

Another configuration of this trade I've seen reported involved us sending back Alec Burks and taking on Ronny Turiaf. Ooof. In my mind there's a legitimate question regarding whether Burks or Bledsoe is the better player.

Time for some credible rumor from a credible source:

Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO
Hornets G Eric Gordon likely to sit out WEDS at Cavs. Hornets having trade talks with Warriors centered on Gordon, reports Times-Picayune.

I wonder who GSW are giving up? If this deal goes through, I don't like our chance with a decent pick.... I'm guessing it's for either Barnes for Thompson.

Another absurd trade suggestion

Drum roll please......

Tim Legler on Mike and Mike this morning

Gordon Hayward and Paul Millsap

For

Danny Granger.

Bahahaha.

I certainly wouldn't trade Gtime for him, and would have a hard time giving them Millsap for him.

Wtf is wrong with these so called experts?

My hope is that the Jazz can move Butler or Odom to a 3rd team.

I hope that if Odom in involved they take him into a dinenr meeting with the Jazz FO. Serve him a Happy Meal from McDonalds. Then smile in his face as they tell him that is for how he acted in Dallas and to get the hell out of SLC as he is not wanted. Papers will be in the mail. Now git!

I saw this and wanted to get everyone's thoughts:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
Houston's showing a willingness to move rookie Terrence Jones for a 1st-round pick, sources tell Y! Rockets are deep at forward spot.

Add TJones and possibly even Bledsoe and this could be a scary team in two years.
