What's new

OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

So, let me get this straight. Rumors were that the Clippers and Jazz were waiting to do a trade until the deadline to see if anything better was offered...then no trade was done. That was much better.

Agreed...What I would like to know is what the Jazz were offered and what they tried to get. If all the trades required us to get ride of Hayward/Burks then I'm cool staying put

I didn't even care if we brought back any value.

We just needed to clear the way for Favors and Kanter to play more.

This is absolutely insane.

Holding pattern, status quo, game, set, match.

I talked myself down 30 minutes ago. I like cable, but it looks like it's going.

So it's over then? It's really over and I'm supposed to cheer for this **** sandwich the rest of the year?

A little piece of me died today when the Jazz FO decided to do jack **** to get this team out of the past.

Nobody trading any player of major stock at all. No one wanted to buy those types of players today. Look at the whole picture.

Yes. Al for nothing makes this team better. Al for anything makes this team MUCH better.

Josh Smith stays in Atlanta, which is surprising.

Is Redick the biggest name to move? No one trading at all.
In the end, ALL the big names stayed put - except for the much earlier Gay deal.
I'm sure fans in Boston, LA (both teams), New York (both teams), etc. are all upset about their teams not making deals. I'm a little disappointd, but I know the Jazz have had a plan ever since deciding to break up Boozer/Memo/Deron/AK to get some financial flexibility. That all happens this summer.

And who knows if KOC laid the groundwork for a deal this off-season? We know that's what happened with Jefferson. Maybe when the Clips re-sign CP3, KOC already has the framework of a deal that will land us Bledsoe.

Sweet.

No Point Guard.

Still all the vets here.

There ends the Youth Movement before it even started.

'Sometimes, the best deal (trade) is no deal (trade)'. - Here we go KOC.

The Jazz are going to resign Fat Al and Shortysap.

Kanter and/or Burks will be traded to move up in the next year's draft or for a player.

Sweet, just sweet. I hate the Jazz FO!

Milsap already turned down the Jazz offer, Big Al won't be resigned because he will demand the max and some team may be crazy enough to give it to him. We can take all the money from both of those players and sign.........(fill in the blank)

Buying something for basically free though? Good thing the Jazz preserved the value on these assets that they will probably never see any of.

Everyone keeps talking about flexibility for this summer. For who? Where is there a Boozer or Memo out there?

I'll tell you who: Al Jefferson or Paul Millsap.

The only think cap flexibility gives us this year is a bad contract on an overpaid player (Al and Paul included).
