OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

So to sweeten the deal, we add in the 24th pick of a crappy draft?
Count me in.

I think the draft is fairly deep into the 1st round. But yeah, you are making my trade seem dumber and dumber. Sounded good when I made it.

I think the Hawks are getting a bad deal too.
Also the Bucks are completely dismantling thier back-court?

Alright, I'm done.

Ha, their entire back-court could be gone after the year is over. I guess they would probably balk at his deal due to the relative success they are having this year. Mo Williams is probably on the same level as either Jennings or Ellis though, and provides more stability (though I guess that is BS because its hard to provide stability when you are injured.).

I don't know how the Hawks feel about their future with Smith, I thought I read somewhere they aren't really interested in re-signing him though.

Basically, 3 mediocre teams are swapping their mediocre "key players" in hopes of finding a better fit.

But c'mon, the idea of a Sanders/Smith front-court is pretty cool to think about, right?

Why would New Orleans do that? Both Anderson and Lopez are productive and signed to very reasonable deals.

I suppose they wouldn't. Can throw picks to balance. I saw it as Big Al being better than either of those players, to strengthen their starting lineup to Big Al, Davis in the front court. It would depend on how much they could re-sign Al for. Plus I haven't posted many, if any, trade ideas, and im bored in class, trying to entertain myself.

Edit: It works if you substitute Jason Smith for Lopez as well.

I don't think New Orleans does this either, but just wanted to play devils advocate. New Orleans does this trade, because he makes Davis better, much the way he has helped Favors and Kanter develop their post moves. If Davis can develop and get better in the post he could be amazing. Also they would be a great fit as Davis could cover some of Al's liabilities on defense.

But again don't believe NO would do this. Maybe if we give them the nickname back. Lol.

Anyone interested in trading Paul/Al for Perkins with OKC throwing in Toronto and lakers pick plus maybe Jeremy lamb??

FYI Perkins still has two years on his contract for like 8.5 & 9.2!

Anderson is getting Millsap money and just got destroyed by said player. Dude is an overpaid Bonner.

Lopez is a classic grass-is-greener player. Tries hard, hustles, gets his lunch money taken.

We...must...make...a trade... Seriously though I have bought league pass for the last 7 years and watched every Jazz game until this year. This year I figured I would use front row until they made room for Favors and Kanter which I thought would be in the first month or two of the season. Here we are. Think I have watched 3 games on front row and a few of the NBATV games. I just can not root for this nonsense. I am so disinterested and its sad. Life long and die hard, but just not interetsed in watching two number 3's rot on the bench while we try to get the 8th seed at all costs. Hey guys...Thanks for listening to my thoughts. Have a great Friday.

The only people that are going to want Sap or Big Al are people looking for making a run this year correct?
We can stop adding them in trade discussions for non-playoff teams.

If they take Paul... They could effectively sign him to a four year deal and have a better low post scoring option and be out of the dead weight of Perkins!!

Which is why we can't deal him to OKC. Why help them anymore?

Even if you don't value the players their expiring contracts are coveted assets in a league heading into a new luxury-unfriendly CBA.

Anderson is basically a slightly smaller version of Okur. Primarily a 3pt shooter, but the guy has skills to play the in-between game and is smart. New Orleans isn't going to part with him as he is a great piece to have for your offense. Lopez is a 7' who is productive and signed to a good contract.
