OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

You are aware that you are one of ten (or so) posters who has above 20 rep power?

I think the list is:
PKM
Me
NAOS
Numberica
Stoked
Colton
Motown
Ugli
West (but didn't he get banned?)
Franklin

I'm not sure there is more than that.

Do I need to put "sarcasm alert" in my posts, or can we all just have some fun?

I was doing some research a few years ago.....

a certain company A owned a large tract of land, they sold it to another company B at an increased price. Shortly after Company B sold it to company C at an increased price. Finally Company A bought it from company C through a subsidiary (alt account) for an increased price. The property was then dumped to a 4th party and companies A,B,&C were all richer.

I think this board's rep system is alot like that.
Was the 4th company the federal government? Sounds a bit like what's happened with many politicians and ex-politicians. Favors are called in at quite a premium,

I want to know the unsavory debt-leveraging practices PKM used to build his rep bubble, and I anxiously await the bubble burst. I'll help him get back on his feet with my wholesome slow-growth rep power.

Dalamon was up there as well. :(

EDIT: Gameface is in the 20s.

If Paul is indeed traded, he has only his uncle and other agent to blame. The Millers and KOC like to be treated with respect and they have long memories. It's likely they don't want to go through the same process with Simmons and Vartanian that they did the 1st time. And likely they might even believe Millsap has little interest in remaining with Utah, unless the Jazz were to significantly outbid other teams. Here are some quotes from the first contract negotiations with Paul and his agents, with links to the articles.

"If Utah matches, there's nothing we can do," he added. "Paul will play hard and do what he has to do..."

"Calls for reaction on the decision were not returned from Millsap's two representatives, DeAngelo Simmons and Ara Vartanian, who last week ripped the Jazz for their handling of the matter and suggested their client would much rather play in Portland than remain in Utah."

One of the teams Utah has talked to about Paul Millsap is Minnesota. The name of the very available Derrick Williams came up.

That would be better than letting him walk I guess. Williams is a more athletic, less hard working version of Millsap who can come off the bench.

He has looked decent for MN lately. He has got to improve his defense though. Problem is that he is not physical enough to guard a lot of 4s and not quick enough to guard most 3s.
