OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

Which of the "core4" would you trade for Thomas Robinson?

Nobody. Honestly, I wouldn't even want to trade Carroll for him. We have enough bigs and I don't really want Robinson as our 3rd big. I'd rather have someone who is already developed, and someone who can stretch the floor.

This from Marc Steins article on Smith today.

The Hawks, as a result, figure to attract more attention than anyone on deadline day. Especially with most rival teams increasingly expecting the Clippers and Jazz to stand pat no matter how much we've talked about Eric Bledsoe, Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson possibly moving.

If so this is a huge mistake.....Prolonging the enivitable and in turn losing assets. Way to go KOL. Dwill trade aside, this org is far too conservative to ever be contenders.

I agree. I haven't watched a full game in a year and a half. It is too boring. This just shows us that the Millers are more interested in their bottom line than a title.

I doubt Al is still on this team if Larry was still alive.

I have been 100% in KOC's corner. If we start next fall with Al on this team, I'll be done.

Except that the Jazz have chosen to shy away from almost any meaningful opportunities for the best talent that the Jazz got back in the deal...

I'm starting to wonder if Jefferson, Sap, Favors, Hayward, Carroll, Mo is enough to compete if Kanter and the picks are traded for one more piece.

Bad thoughts. Bad thought.

LOL. I've made a stance. I haven't watched a full game in a year and a half. It's me or Al.

The only problem is, if they chose Al, I'd have to kick my jazzfanz habit...

Nobody believes this.

Yeah, but I get my hopes up when they play well together. Hayward and Favors are growing nicely, Carroll is a surprise every game, and Kanter could develop enough to secure a very good young player. Having a guy like Harden and swapping Mo for an equivalent contract or less that plays much better defense and runs a team (Dragic, please!) would make this a scary squad.

Maybe nobody believes it but I guarandamntee KOC and Lindsey are thinking exactly this.

I don't think there is a player even close to Harden's caliber on the market right now. In retrospect, the Jazz should have traded whatever it took to get him.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Asked one GM what he had: "We're down to bulls--- text message offers from people who couldn't keep a straight face if they called." Twitter @WojYahooNBA

dont wanna be presumptuous but that kinda sounds like KOC, right?

Bill Oram: Jazz haven't communicated to Paul Millsap's camp whether he could be on the move or not. Fits team M.O
