Official UofU homer thread

Maybe I am wrong but the hold or PI doesn't happen if the refs spot the ball correctly when WA went for it on 4th and 1, the QB IMO never got past the line of scrimmage.

Ya, this drove me crazy. Especially since the other ref had what I thought was the correct spot. Inexcusable that they didn't review it (even though their wasn't a great camera angle to work with.)

I keep forgetting that not being crazy pumped about mediocre QB play equals complaining and not appreciating wins.

Lucky for me I have LOLGLI to remind me. Thanks LOLGLI!

What I'm getting at is people treat Travis like he's Brevin Knight or Jason Hart or something, ruining all of our lives with his suck. I wish he was better, but hating him is weird since we'd be worse without him. I would totally get it if we had any type of promising backup QB that we all thought might do better, and Whitt was Corbin'ing and playing Travis each week. This is not the case obvi.

PS Bronco: go back and read the thread. People aren't acting "not crazy pumped" they are acting like Travis beat up their grandma or something.

Also to note that the almost INT that Travis through the LB in the first half, was again the same spot on the field as the USC INT's at the hashmarks and same depth, 4-5yrds.

So obviously Wilson needs to see the LB but I also can't help but wonder why they keep calling it and if it is a problem with the play design/route combo being ran or if the players aren't running as they should be allowing the LB just to sit on it. Either way they need to fix that in practice or find another play/route cause I swear to god if I see that again I will reach through my TV and choke a bitch.

I've read the thread. Every post. And I (along with others) have expressed concern at Wilson's crazy inconsistency. I don't think I've ever said I hate him, I'm just frustrated that he can be really good in extremely short flashes. I haven't hated, I don't think... Also, I checked with my grandma and she says Travis did not beat her up. He was just a little aggressive with the tongue.

Plain and simple, Utes need to quit trying to play East and West football, they're not fast enough for bubble screens and sideline running....they're at their best going down hill and establishing the line of scrimmage and taking opportunities off play action.

Sad about chase Hansen

On 1320 KFNZ this morning they were saying he broke a bone in his foot. They also said there was a remote possibility he could be back for a bowl or playoff game.

David Collette apparently transferring to Utah from Utah State. That's a huge get, if true. Transfer bigs that are actually ballers don't happen that often.

Why was Chase Hansen starting anyway? I read he did fine, but who was he replacing or who did he beat out?
Tevita Carter is who he replaced. He was struggling with speed as he is coming off of an injury last year and the radio said he is not completely healthy. Carter played some at LB during that game but Hansen started over Carter at Safety. I fully expect Chase to stay at safety, he has a great chance at the NFL as a safety I doubt he has any chance as a QB.

Huge news if true. He'll step in to help with the loss of Poeltle(probably spelled wrong) after this year. My first though when I heard the news is that he'd be headed to Utah. I hope that's the case.

Jayce Johnson committed to Utah too. Should have a solid big rotation again. Coach K building a rep as a molder of big men.

Hansen decided to play defense instead of QB and beat out Carter for the starting spot. And Hansen didn't do fine. He freaking tore it up. He was our second best defender vs Washington behind Paul. He was incredible, its too bad he got hurt.
