Official UofU homer thread

this could be the most important game of the season, barring playoffs. LSU, Stanford both with losses. Maybe Baylor as well

Richrod is a nutball, he goes ape**** every game. This game has looked a little too familiar, secondary getting exposed a bit, gotta hope for a better effort in the 2nd half

This team never looked right after getting passed that ASU hump. Probably good that we won't get a chance to get embarrassed in a huge bowl game/playoff. Does suck that even after this good season I doubt we even get to the P12 title game.

And if you think I'm being a whiny fan who is just being pessimistic, you haven't watched this team the last few weeks.

Bull ****. Wilson ain't to blame in this game. Dropped passes and defensive lapses and ****ty pass protection are bigger reasons. This loss ain't on TW.

I feel the Utes' pain, nothing more frustrating then watching your offensive line get punished.

the idea that utah is a 4th quarter team sure got squashed I'll tell ya that. Booker fumbles, dropped pass on 3rd and manageable. we have only ourselves to blame.

I'm with you. Travis was meh, but he did his job. Our pass defense was horrendous for 3 quarters (and OT). Tyrone Smith dropped a sure first down that could have changed the game. We looked timid and scared in OT. We have flaws just like every other team, Arizona simply exposed them and made the plays that mattered.

It was more of a general statement. The playoff dream is over, so it was time to reflect on the season. And the first thing that came to mind is, the QB is bad.

The playoffs never really crossed my mind after watching Stanford stumble vs Oregon(looks like they will probably lose to Notre Dame). More concern is winning the division. USC now controls their own destiny, not us

We certainly had our chances. Can't sleep thinking about it..just beat UCLA next week and see what happens with USC who has to go to Oregon. there is still hope.

I'm blaming this loss on me, usually I will get on and vent my frustrations and the two games I haven't is last night and USC.
j/k

As much as I was resigned that the U was going to lose (because it looked a lot like all the other years the U lost the AZ) I also wasn't able to sleep after the game because as bad as they played they had a chance to win this game and AZ's QB like most other teams in the PAC12 all look like they have really good young QB's that is going to make life hell for the U's defense for the next 2-3 years.

Really though as much as I was yelling at the refs for aaallllllll the penalties they called against the Utes that isn't even close to the reason the U lost, their own mistakes is what cost them the game. Booker, while I don't blame them as he is the horse we all say needs the ball but after Booker went out with tweaking his knee I don't think he looked his usual self just didn't seem to be able to stick his foot on the ground and go like usual (not blaming anyone or anything for him playing just an observation) and the run he had on the fumble might have been one of his better looking ones after tweaking his knee.

Also it wouldn't be a post by me if I didn't complain about the offensive line, still to me in PAC12 games all but a couple teams have all looked to me have better offensive lines then the U and AZ's was better last night as well IMO.

I think this is the first game this season where I thought it looked like not have Hunter Dimick hurt the U, he does play better assignment/gap football and may have helped on some of those option plays, I say MAY because Soloman is fast and even if in the right position he may have not been able to make the play. Carter has been the biggest disappointment on defense to me anyway this year, I am guessing he's playing hurt, not fully recovered from his injury last year or he's just lost "it" after all the injuries he just doesn't look the same, some plays he just looks to slow to play safety and last year in the few games he played you would always notice him kinda like Paul just always around the ball making plays or even if he wasn't the one making the play he was just usually around the ball.
