Official UofU homer thread

From what I've watched of Huntley I think the kid will be legit. Hopefully he helps us nab a star receiver next year. It seems like Utah is a legit qb and a star receiver away from being National contenders. We look great everywhere else.

I agree but would also say that every power 5 team is a legit qb away being national contenders

Puked in my mouth with I heard that whistle, easy call though. I don't know why you even contest that shot

So I've watched it about 10 times now, after 10 watches it was as boneheaded as it was the first time i watched it

the osu player had him spun around so he was already in a bad position, at this point you let him go. if he makes a half court heave at the buzzer you can live with it

why risk it? I don't really know what was going through Brandon Taylor's mind, only he knows.

What happened fellas?

Utes up 1 with 2.2 seconds OSU inbounds the ball on the run takes half court shot and Taylor fouls him for 3 free throws....OSU sinks all three, ball game.
Holy crap. Doesn't get much worse than that.
Did he really foul him or was it one of those plays where the offensive player pump fakes and gets the defender into the air and then the offensive player jumps into the defender to initiate contact?

Nah it was a foul, the dude kind of double pumped his shot mid air and Taylor hacked the **** outta him.

That's too bad

I restricted myself from Ute threads/boards after that play by Taylor, I've said it before in this thread but starting last year I've viewed him how a lot of people viewed Travis Wilson (I backed Wilson more than a lot of fans) that he sure does have a lot of heart and I appreciate what he's done but I'll be happy when he's replaced after this season.

So when that play happened all it did is feed into that and with how he's played this year minus a couple of games I'm not sure how he justifies getting so many minutes.

It's simple, really. He's our best option.
Bonham isn't stable enough, I Wright isn't solid enough.

Taylor actually played pretty well last season, but I knew coming in you can't replace the chemistry he had with Delon Wright so I didn't expect the same numbers, but didn't see the mental mistakes coming. Kind of reminds me of Dres Anderson, confident guy himself but had some critical drops his senior season.

Utah beats Washington, should beat Wazzu on sunday. than two tough road games vs. UCLA & USC
