The Bronco discussion is interesting. He was a contradiction. On the one hand, he was a great recruiter. He was able to land 2-3 four star kids every year. Utah hasn't been able to do that until this year (BTW, how great was Utah's class? Bolles, Tupai,
Luafatasaga...we are headed in the right direction).
On the other hand, he was a terrible recruiter because he wasn't able to sign depth. Too many "clean" two star kids.
As a defensive coach, he was brilliant. That being said his DC hires...were head scratchers. BUT, is that due to Bronco's ability to hire or lack of money for a real DC?
I'm curious to see how he does in Virginia.
I think BYU's staff could be really good someday. There is potential there. That being said, they are so inexperienced all over the field. From coaching to scheme, they all have zero experience. This year could be really rough for BYU.
