What's new

Official UofU homer thread

Man our WR's are young. Aside from Tim Patrick, all should be back next year. If they produce like we're hearing they're capable of, a perceived weakness can turn into a strength for the next few years. Time to put up or shut up.

Just think of BYU's players and add 30lbs of muscle and a second to their 40 time and three inches to their...height.

I don't think that's what you were going for there in the bold......I think you'd want to subtract a second.....but hey.....if you say so......

Good call. Subtract a second. Hell, subtract two. Sometimes our coaches thumbs are slow and the times aren't that accurate.

This argument is flawed. I would think the next logical step for you would be to state that the Y's coaches have thumbs at least 3 seconds slower than yours.

Clearly.

UGH

Apparently we suck. It could be BYU's year.

OL looking weak(WTF). Troy looks slightly better than Kendal Thompson. Our OC still seems to be confused. Defense feels soft by Utah standards. Srsly gunna miss Booker.

sigh

Andy Phillips first 1yr and a half he was a great college kicker but since then he has been an average kicker at best.

The OLine, every year I fall for the hype I hear. From this first game they are just an experienced group of fat guys who can't block, they got out played by a WIDE margin by the young and with no experience SUU Oline, that was playing on the road. I didn't think a group could play that bad, even if they tried.... they proved me wrong apparently you can. This was just the first game and they may have not cared or prepared or even know they had a game today but hopefully this lights a fire under them this game was an aberration, because if they block this poorly the U will not win another game all season.

Tonight should give us a pretty good idea of how the Utah/BYU game is going to go.

I think you mean tomorrow nights game? And not really. A few years ago, Utah struggled to a 27-10 win in the opener over Montana State with BYU looming in 2 weeks. Utah won that game 54-10. Last year, USU damn nearly lost to SUU in the opener and everybody thought Utah would roll them in week 2. That game was tied 14-14 and halftime and Utah never put USU completely away.
