What's new

Official UofU homer thread

I think Utah goes 4-1 or 5-0 to finish the year...IF they win this weekend. Here is why:

We are actually getting somewhat healthy again. Patrick, Handley, Falamaka, Moss should all play this weekend. Losing Marcus sucks, but UCLA has their own problems and injuries as well. We are lucky that Luafatasaga has been playing so well at LB. Utah can get pressure on UCLA's QB with only their DL. What I expect from Utah is to see a lot of dime packages to make up for losing Marcus Williams. Our DL will have to hold the point of attack on run plays and get pressure with little to no help on passing plays. Utah can then play a cover three to make up for missing Williams.

The key will be if our offense can finish drives. We are last in the PAC-12 in the red zone. It's pathetic. We had 4 TO's on OSU's side of the field last game. That is 12-28 points we left on the field. Having Patrick and Moss back should help a lot in that area.

IF we beat UCLA, I really like our chances vs Washington. We gave them their worst home loss last year and worst loss overall. We match up extremely well with them. Especially if Marcus is back. If Marcus isn't back...dang. Anyways, we will be at home, Washington hasn't faced a team that is contending for the conference all year, Utah will be the best team by far Washington has faced, Troy Williams has reasons...we will hit Washington in the mouth. They haven't had that yet.

Then we have a bye week to get ready for a bad ASU team. Then we have extra days to get ready for a bad Oregon team. Then we will face Colorado. Colorado has played two decent teams so far and lost both games...and they were worked over by both teams. NOW, if Colorado wins this weekend I will take them more seriously, but if they lose to Stanford, then they end up with 6 or 7 wins. We should beat Colorado.

IF we win on Sat, we finish with two losses, worst case. UCLA is a dangerous team though. They are just so damn talented.

Pac-12 refs ladies and gentlemen. Forget to set up the pylons, and when reminded by the coaches, they set them up incorrectly.

Oh and holy **** what a start.

If Lotulelei and Williams go to the NFL, the Utes will be the worst team in the Pac 12 next season.

What's a shame is that Troy Williams is actually a good QB. The team around him is just terrible.
