Official Warrior Watch: Draft Pick and Playoff Positioning

6 losses in a row. They have a cupcake game against the Suns tomorrow, but it is the 2nd game of a back-to-back. Suns are playing tonight too and currently putting the hurting on the Blazers.

I predict a Suns upset win.

But that also means it's the 2nd of a back-to-back for Phoenix.

I think the Tankers are struggling. As Harper commented on it today. They've been winning with a run & gun, free flowing style. Trying to integrate Bogut into this style would be difficult. They can't just sit him neither. So it's a difficult situation for them.

Not complaining though.

I wonder who GSW are giving up? If this deal goes through, I don't like our chance with a decent pick.... I'm guessing it's for either Barnes for Thompson.
 
Warriors are dumb if they do this. Thompson's younger, way cheaper, hasn't showed any injury history, and is well-rounded. Unless they get a 1st out of this, there's no way the W's should do it imo.

How about Thompson + Bogut though? Bogut not really fitting into what they're trying to do which is run & gun.
 
The only positive for the Warriors would be if they got Robin Lopez out of the deal. He would be a nice big man for them, and would be an upgrade over Bogut's current state.
 
I can kinda see why they would rather get rid of Thompson over Barnes. Thompson and Curry have similar playing styles, and so they don't have anyone that can drive and get to the hoop.
 
There gonna have to give up more then just Thompson for Gordon... Who else would the warriors give up??
 
So the good news is the warriors are a mess, they just traded away two young players they liked, they have 70 million committed next season and that doesn't include Jarret Jack or Landry.

Bad news is that they were good enough early that not even a Mark Jackson tank job could get the jazz a pick higher than 14 or 15.\\

But I really like having a vested intrest in watching another team lose. I think I'll message the Jazz about getting more conditional picks when they make all their trades this summer.

Going along with that, they got under the tax threshold this year so they'll be more willing to be taxpayers next year.
