Official Warrior Watch: Draft Pick and Playoff Positioning

Curry is on pace for another 50 pt game

This is amazing.

I didn't see this game, but I saw the Boston game. I think their weak link at the moment is Ezeli. He's just not there yet as a starting big. Like he got 4 rebounds tonight. That's just not cutting it for a team vying for the playoffs. You can play Landry with Lee, but they're both atrocious defenders. Bogut is out.

Shooters are always gonna keep them in the game. But if they face a team with decent front line, I think they're gonna always struggle.

Tomorrow begins the Warriors last tough stretch to the season. They play Spurs at home, then go on a 5 game road trip that includes two back-to-backs.

Spurs (Loss)
T'Wolves (Win)
Pacers (Loss)
Knicks (Loss)
Celtics (Loss)
Sixers (Win)

So I have them going 2-4, which would put them at 27 losses.

Well, I didn't get the games right, but I got the total right.

Their weakness is big men in general. They have David Lee then a bunch of scrubs.

I'm starting to wonder if the Warriors actually tanked last year or if they were just a bad team.

Take this year's team, hold out Step Curry, add back Brandon Rush. Now you've basically got last year's team. Seriously though they were taking games last year.

All this excitement will be for nothing. They have lost mostly today games. They are still in sixth and have a HEAVY home schedule to end the season. They will end up 5-7 in the west and the pick will be 18-22.

No way they pass up Denver. While they have a home heavy end, they also face more teams 12 winning teams as opposed to 10 losing teams. Keep in mind 2 of games against losing teams are the Lakers, so you could even look at it as 14 vs 8.

What's the point of getting out of bed in the morning dude? You're just gonna die someday.

They'll lose tomorrow games too

And that's why they traded for Bogut.
W's were on a hot streak earlier in the year, then their schedule got tough with a lot of road games. They've now played 25 at home and 35 on the road. That means 16 home and only 6 away the rest of the season! Denver appears locked in as the 5th seed and the Jazz, with their home losses to Atlanta and Boston may have blown a legitimate chance to compete with GS for the 6th seed. Now we have to hope some of the mid-playoff teams in the EC (Brooklyn, Chicago and Atlanta) can stay ahead of GS in terms of wins so that we get their pick in the 18/19 range.

To me GS is a young team wearing down in the midst of a long road heavy stretch. The question is have they or will they check out mentally, and continue there downward spiral. All you need to do is look how much worse their defense has been in the second half of the year compared to the first half. They can't stop anyone these days.
