Official Warrior Watch: Draft Pick and Playoff Positioning

NO playing well. If GSW loses this game, and HOU beats SAC: GSW and HOU would be tied for 6th/7th by the end of the day.

Brooklyn & Chicago are #4 and #5 respectively in the East. They'll be fighting hard down to the wire for 1st round home court. This is good news for our GSW pick.

Phoenix is keeping this GSW game pretty close. It's interesting how they tank it up big on road games, but when they're at home Dragic is playing, and they're playing HARD.

Dang!
This is like the reverse of last year when GS would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Phoenix was up 14 at the end of the 1st and found a way to lose.

Thank goodness the lakers pulled that one out. I almost thought we'd be back in the drivers seat again. Good thing we'll be blown out on Sunday (since it's a road game and this team refuses to ever actually show up and care when playing on the road). Hopefully we will see a lot of favors, Hayward, and junkyard dog. If burks can't go rest him up. We don't want him hurt for next year anyway.

I want the Jazz to win on Sunday. After that I don't really care. Just take GS down a notch, that is all I am looking for.

Winning is out of the question since it is a road game.

Try keeping it under 20 pts. Especially if we must to without both kanter and burks... And Murphy (because of his skin infection)

Houston is in a good position to pass the Warriors in the standings if they win the games they should.

Warriors have San Antonio, the Lakers and OKC on their remaining schedule.
Houston only has the Lakers and Memphis remaining, with two games against Phoenix and one against Sacramento.

The Jazz's 2nd pick this year looks to be 20 or possibly 19 if Chicago finishes strong.

That would be GREAT!!

Our #17 and #19 should net us Burke. Easy.

Did you know that Golden State had a big party planned for last night. It was supposed to be a celebration for clinching the playoffs after beating the Jazz.

Favors knew, and he didn't like it. Jody Genessy @DJJazzyJody 07 Apr
"Derrick Favors when asked about Warriors being able to clinch playoff spot: "Celebrate against another team, but not against us." #UTAatGSW"

GS Writer, gets after the Warriors for losing. https://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2013/04/07/the-warriors-feel-the-playoff-heat-flinch-and-fumble-away-a-chance-for-a-playoff-clincher/

GS fans congratulating Locke after thier team lost, because they knew the loss helped push the Lakers towards elimination.

Lots happening tonight:

GSW is currently 1 game ahead of HOU. So if HOU beats PHX and GSW loses to MIN tonight, they'll be tied. HOU has the tie breaker. If this happens we're looking at moving from #21 to #20 pick wise.

Also BKN can extend the lead with a win over Philly, and CHI can inch closer with a win against TOR.

Seriously, what rotten mother-****ers. They make the postseason for the 2nd time in 19 years after tanking out of an obligation and to make good on that, they pay out a crappy pick in a crappy draft.
