Official We Don't Need Hayward; Trade him.

I hope hayward can go in the next game.

Or at least Burks

Why worry about Hayward we looked fine without him.
Does that mean that we will go undefeated as long as Hayward doesn't play?

I think he is better than johnson and ingles.

Imagine how good Hayward would be if he is the #2 option. Or #3. Imagine Exum and Favors running the pick and roll. And if that doesn't work, imagine posting Favors up with Exum cutting to the rim.

Then, life is easy for Hayward. Then, he is the third option and probably the best third option in the NBA.

That is what the Jazz envision for Hayward.

Could you imagine Favors, Lyles, Hayward, Hood and Exum on the floor?

That is 3-4 players who can shoot the three. Lyles out at the three point line spreading the floor. Exum and Favors running the pick and roll. If that doesn't pan out, kick it out to Hood, who can then run the pick and roll with Lyles. If that doesn't work, then drop it off to Hayward who can make play happen one on one....or Hood...or Exum.

The key to all of this is Exum. If he pans out, the Jazz are set. If not, then the whole thing is screwed.

GUYS WE WON WITHOUT HAYWARD TRADE HIM. Remember when we won some games without Favors? Trade. Gobert? Trade. Hood? Trade. Trade! For LeBron!

I love how people can't take a realistic take so they blow it out of proportion. What happens if Hayward is out an extended time and we look fine? The only way to test how the Jazz will look without Hayward is to watch this span if he does miss extended time. Then make a decision. Sick of people who can't see anything but what is front of their eyes. Jazz have been running their whole offense through Hayward and we are on the verge of not making the playoffs. He can't be that great or we would be in a better situation right now.

Most teams play well when their top player goes down for a couple games. Everyone steps up and plays harder. It's not sustainable though. I remember Deron going down and Price playing really well and us winning a couple games. Players step up in the short term. Players who stood around are moving more, playing harder defense, crashing the boards hard and emotions are higher. Hayward is still our best player. Really wish favors would take another step and become our best player but he hasn't yet.

Speaking of blindness. Glad to see you join this thread.

This team has been ravaged by injuries this year. That also needs to be taken into account. As does the learning curve of our coach and below average bench.

Hayward is a very good player. Not a true alpha but let's not pretend he isn't an excellent player.

Having said that I am open to trading him for something that will make the team better, as I am all the players on the team.

Hey guys, The Warriors are 2-1 this season when Steph Curry is out. This conclusively proves that Curry isn't that valuable to the team. How about Burke/Pliess + our 2016 1st for Curry?

...am I doing this right?

Let's think of it differently.

If you could only have either Hayward or Hood going forward who do you choose?

I really can't see this ever being the case.

I think if the Jazz could only hang onto 3 players, it would be Hayward Hood and Favors. No doubts.

I was tweeting the media about this they dont want to hear it. Hayward is not what you all think he is he is an offense stopper trying to push the offense through a fourth option isn't as effective as letting everyone play. I am the troll until everyone realizes I'm right and we move on hopefully sooner then later.

Hopefully YOU move on much sooner rather than later.

Westbrook must suck because OKC didn't make the playoffs last season. AD sucks because look at the Pelicans record. Giannis sucks, so does KAT. Because, well, none of their teams is going to the playoffs.

Yes doubts.

Me too. I might not put Hayward in there as one of the three.

1. Right now, Favors is #1. He's the most complete player.

2. Hood is quickly becoming #2. I'd take him over Hayward because, 1) he's a better 3PT shooter; 2) he runs the P&R better; 3) Salary. ROI on Hayward at $30M/per will not be great. Hayward is the superior defender, though.

3. This is a tough one. 5 months ago I would have said Gobert. Now I'm not so sure you can build a team around him. He's like Eaton or Boozer. Deficiencies on one end of the court are SO glaring. Makes it tough for the Jazz to be good offensively with a player other teams can just ignore. Exum is too much of an unknown. Will he ever be a threat to drive or shoot? How much does the injury take away from his quickness?
