Offseason Random Twitter Comments about Jazz Players

Sounds like those 3 are pretty tight.
Millsap + Burks for Ellis?

Normally might not consider this, but I'm thinking Millsap is going to want $13-14M and we'll lose him anyway. Ellis has 2 years remaining on his contract.

Alec Burks in a year = taller Monta Ellis with defense

Oh I forgot how common it is for players on the same team to attack one another on the court. I mean, doesnt everyone hurl balls at their teamates?

Well Gilbert Arenas and Nick Young pulled guns out!!! So throwing a ball at his teammates seems pretty calm. I assure you that there have been worse things done and said about teammates in the NBA. DW was clearly frustrated with all the changes and the way the team was being run. He shouldn't have throw the ball at his teammate but there is ZERO evidence that Gordon was a chosen target. He could have throw the ball at any teammate because it was more about being frustrated than being mad at Gordon. Gordon just happened to make the same mistake and an immature DW took his frustration out on the player who happen to piss him off. I don't see any malice nor have I read anywhere that DW disliked Gordon.

I think Zach Randolph was accused of chucking balls at his teammates during practice. Of course it isn't seen to much but you don't see coaches hit/bump refs too often but Sloan did it a couple of times. Guys lose their tempers because they are competitive so again I don't think DW or SLoan targeted their "victim" because of a personal dislike but the incident developed more out of frustration.

Again, people are always looking for the worse in people. Many people like to create drama where there is no drama. I believe that if DW hated either Gordon or AK (many accuse him of this), he would just come out and say it. DW has never been quilty of mincing his words so until I hear that DW says he can't stand Gordon or AK than I will just believe it was a poor behavior resulting from frustration and not a targeted assault on Gordon.

Is this a joke? May God help us if it isn't.

Jefferson is friends with Mo and Foye. Are the Jazz bringing in Al's posse to help convince him to stay? Of course the flip side could be, what happens when Al starts sitting and Favors is playing? --if Al starts to sulk do Mo and Foye follow?

Ellis is an all-star caliber player who averages nearly 20 pts and 5 assists on 46% shooting. He can be a head case, but with his buds Mo and Al on the team, he'd probably be o.K.
OK, substitute the GS pick instead of Burks. It would give us an elite player at SG to go along with Favors and Hayward. Is Ellis >> than Millsap + the GS pick? No. But I have serious doubts Millsap is going to stay. Do we really want to pay him $13M/per? That's at LEAST what he's going to demand after Kris Humphries got $12M. So does KOC just let Millsap walk for nothing next summer? Ellis would certainly be worth the GS pick, IMO, and that's what this deal comes down to. .

These three being tight isn't a good thing...unless you want Al Jefferson to be re-signed next summer.
I think that's what is going to happen. I don't see Millsap wanting to be a 6th man. And I don't think he's worth $12-$14M/per - even assuming Utah can re-sign him. He and his uncle were pretty happy to sign the offer sheet with Portland, and IIRC, expressed their disappointment when Utah matched.

Favors/Jefferson can be a pretty good starting combo. I'm not sure how Favors/Millsap stacks up, especially with Derrick NOT wanting to be a 5.

Whether or not it happens, wouldn't it be absolutely hilarious to hear a player like Ellis expressing a desire to join Utah at the deadline, after the Bucks are well out of playoff contention? That would set the NBA on its ear.

Think you mean Javaris Crittenton.

I've popped in here for a quick browse a few times in the last month, and every single time I see GlassTown16 say the same stupid **** about Millsap. I had no idea he was as dense as Sloanfeld.

By the way, when you start a phrase with the words "I'm starting to think..." and then proceed to dole out a baseless point, you should probably start wondering what is making you crazy.

I wouldn't do Burks for Ellis let alone Millsap and Burks, but what about Millsap for Ellis and a unprotected first?

That would be very tempting to me with the unprotected draft pick. I don't think Milwaukee would do that, but I wouldn't have thought the Nets were that stupid either.

Deron doesn't hate AK...look how happy they look together at the olympics:

If we can't resign Millsap I'd rather let him walk then trade for Ellis. He gets his stats but doesn't play wining basketball. I'd rather use the extra money to sign someone who understands wining as a team.

motown, where did you get the number 13M from?

Literally EVERYTHING he has alleged about numbers is out of his ***, and he has drastically over-analyzed things about negotiations and Paul's stubbornness about his role on the team. It has taken odd Freudian dimensions.

Not sure what team I'd follow if the Jazz decided to build around Al Jefferson and Monta Ellis.
