OJ Mayo for Bell and 12th Pick

Memphis is overloaded at SG/SF with Vasquez, Gay, Tony Allen, Xavier Henry, Sam Young and Battier. Memphis was already trying to move OJ Mayo due to the fact that he is going to be a free agent soon and they don't want to sign him to a big contact due to their depth at shooting guard.


They were going to trade him to the Pacers for McRoberts and a future 1st round pick.

Not bad value, actually. I think it depends on what the Jazz would think of Mayo. Memphis obviously have no problems trading him at a value most people think is low, so if the Jazz think Mayo would fit in Utah, both the team and the state, it's a plausible trade.

I'd much rather have Jimmer or Singleton plus Bell then Mayo. Mcroberts and a 1st from Indy. The Bell/12th is a way better deal. Plus if Utahs trying to make a deal with Memphis, I'd go after Rudy Gay, Marc Gasol, Sam Young, X. Henry before Mayo

Mayo is bad news.

He's a lazy *** cancerous player who chucks a lot but brings absolutely no intangibles or leadership to the table. A talented player yes, but one horrible one as well.

Jazz need more players that are committed to working with coach Corbin and improving this team. Fewer players concerned with contracts, endorsements, and personal stats.

Give me Wes Matthews (some guy that wasn't even drafted but does so many things) any day over highly touted OJ Mayo.
