PG: Hill, Exum, Mack and Neto (Burke gets traded for a move up in the draft.)

SG: Hood, Burks (Exum, Hill and Mack can all log 2 minutes if needed.)

SF: Hayward, Jingles (Hood can play here some and I think Johnson will be cut in a wing is brought in.)

PF: Favors, Lyles (Booker will cost too much to bring back.)

C: Gobert, Withey (Pleiss should be moved for a developmental prospect from the draft.)

Hill will start.

The Hill/Hood/Hayward/Favors/Gobert starting lineup is going to grind opposing teams into powder.

Yeah I didn't think so but apparently teams are clamoring for him.

I guess let me restate: No one will be willing to pay what the Jazz want for Hayward. There are trades out there for Hayward. Say, for Brooklyn's pick next year. Or Andrew Wiggins. Or KAT. Or Westbrook.

BUT, no one will trade those assets for Hayward. So, Hayward ain't going anywhere.

Yeah, it is typically not a win-win in these type of trades. Over-valuation is sometimes a detriment to improving the roster.

U think hill will start.

My ideal lineup.

Exum. Hill
Hood. Burks. Hill
Hayward. Burks. Ingles
Favors. Lyles. Hayward
Gobert. Favors

That's a deep team. Hill provides shooting and another scorer to the second unit. He could still get started mins and finish games at point of Exum isn't ready yet.

Thoughts?

Go after Dudley?

Gobert/Withey/Pleiss
Favors/Lyles/FA
Hayward/Dudley/Ingles
Good/Burks/Mack
Hill/Exum/Neto

Hill/Exum
Hood/Burks
Hayward
Favors/Lyles
Gobert

With a whole bunch of other end of bench guys. I'd like us to throw together some of the draft picks and other guys to grab a high risk reward mid-late first round. (Maker/Qi jump out to me)

Naw, at this point get another vet. A wing. Jazz have 4 first rounders the next two years. Go vets this year for winning now.

The Jazz traded the 12th pick for a starter. The 12th pick wouldn't have netted a starter. So that's a smart move.

* Now, I would target a player in the draft that would add quality to the bench within the next two years. I think you can trade Mack or Alec Burks to do that OR I would definitely move up the timeline on one of the 2017 picks to get a mid to late first rounder. I think it is best that every year you bring in someone new through the draft as the Jazz can't compete on the Free Agent market like other teams. Maybe a player you bring in will be home-run and it will be cheap. If the Jazz have to sign too many free agents this year it could kill them financially. I would rather have them wait out a year and do extensions for current players and see how things settle.
