What's new

Ok this game will be fun ,Tuesday OKC vs Utah

Looking at the shot chart for the game, it actually looks pretty good for us, forced lots of mid range shots from okc, and we were consistent in taking it to the hoop. Particularly in the 2nd and 4th quarter. Unfortunately, a lot of their shots were not well contested, or it was KD who was at his absolute best tonight.

I know it's just preseason but the with the Exum injury and the preseason combined my optimism is pretty much gone. It'll be great if they turn it around. They should. But I'm not excited.

I know what you mean, I'm crying too. Why is it always our favorite teams that let us down? Emotional fans like us just have a hard time watching when our favorite players, our life heroes, don't do as well as we wish. And what else do we have to look forward to in our meaningless lives? All we wanted was to live vicariously through some 20 year old millionaires as they get the trophy.

Jazz are going to have trouble against high scoring teams ,not enough scoring and they got spanked on the boards by 15 rebounds without OKC best rebounder in Kanter

We probably would have had a better chance to win if Kanter would have been on the floor. Lol

Theirs a difference in the pace of the game and Jazz fanz are going to see that a big part of that 2nd half finish came with the perimeter defense Exum brought and that it wasn't all Gobert's defense
I've been saying forever than Exum's defense was a big part of the stellar defense at the end of the year. The great defensive finish had a lot to do with Exum not just Gobert.

I think millsap is a better defender than Hayward...... But not against durant. Durant is too long.

Hayward would be our defender against durant but then would be worn out

I agree with you as far as this season goes. Cy is right, it is really important to be physical with Durant when you guard him and Millsap excels at that but Hayward has obviously played with a lot more physicality on both ends this preseason.

Says the guy who is under appreciating our best perimeter defender last season..

Yes you have..... And I had not felt the same.
Looks like maybe you were right

I liked Hood, but he did essentially what we chastise Burke for doing, really over dribbling the ball and forcing shots when other guys are open. I'm begging to worry about Hood's lack of court vision or willingness to pass.

I kinda feel like this is by design. Last season Snyder would have been going nuts with the ball sticking like that. I feel like Snyder is telling Hood to do this. It looks pretty intentional. I don't like it, though.

I was actually complementing him. But to answer your question I still think he shoots too much, takes some bad shots, can't defend (even though he is trying), and has been pretty cold from three.

He has got to the line better and has been getting to the hoop and finishing better though.

I just think that even if trey plays his, he still isn't very good unfortunately.

Yeah I realize that was a complement. It may have came off more back handed then you intended.

His 3pt% was 44% before this 0-2 shooting night. I thought tonight was very impressive for so many reason. His defense continues to look much improved, he created really good looks for his teammates, and he bounced back for a poor shooting 1st half something he really struggled with so far in his career. Usually if Trey starts with his shot off he'd end that way.

Ya I'm probably just going into the games with a pre conceived opinion of trey and not really being fair with him. Noticing the bad more than the good cause I'm looking for it.

I will try to be more open minded when watching now. Im shocked by that three point percentage. Thanks for providing that info. 44% is ****ing fantastic

So. We lost a preseason game to a top NBA team. We blowing this up or what?

Next-level Quin Snyder post game presser tonight. Watch it when@utahjazz posts it.

Quin Snyder just dropped the mic (not literally) in his postgame press conference. Strong remarks about the reality facing the Jazz.

The entertainment is not over.

We can chalk this up to preseason rust, but even that is on our players. Durant and Westbrook sure don't look rusty. They came into camp ready to play. Rudy looks like he's still doing yoga in the offseason. I feel like Burks is the only one who has really showed up ready to play.
