What's new

Okur is a cancer.

Guys!! Some of you jump the gun way too soon... The guy played in his first game back in about 7 months... It's going to take some time for him to get his legs back let alone his game...

Geez.. Take a chill pill and start dogpiling on the guy if he isn't producing by the end of the month at least... Jiminy Christmas!!

Okur will do great things for us off of the bench... And that is produce points and take big men out of the paint... He'll start pulling his weight and make our bench that much better, I guarantee it!

Okur has to be worked back into the program. That will be painful. But we're not in a hurry, right? We don't need to handicap ourselves with this I think. If the night allows Okur to play, let him play. But if it doesn't, tell him we'll work on the comeback tomorrow. You can't just DECIDE Okur is going to play no matter what happens in the game.

The one thing Okur has proven is that he can put the ball in the basket. And there's no way this team gets to the next level without a consistent offensive threat coming off the bench.

It's really just that simple - he has to play his way back.

Another thing that Memo has proven is that he has the drive and the work ethic to recover from a devastating and potential career-ending injury to come back and play again. It remains to be seen just how far back he comes, relative to his old self, but I am definitely one to applaud his determination to at least get back and help his team.

All Jazz fans are Memo fans right now. Props to the big Turk in his recovery.

How can you not be a Memo fan. Whatever his liabilities on the court, the guy is a class act, bar few others in the NBA.

After what Memo has been through, this thread is a horrid slap in the face to him.

As write4u said, how can you not like the guy? Im ashamed to be on this Jazz message board.

Well, sometimes it's hard to tell when someone's being serious or not, on here, like I'm not sure if you're Kramer or Michael J. Fox

I agree 100%.

I think what you have to consider is, sometimes you see, some people have this way of going around looking to attract attention. See, what they do is this. They stand, you know, just hanging around, metaphorically speaking, hanging outside that three point arc. What you want to pay attention to, in this long, runabout way, is how, ya know, they like to get a little, how should I say this, a little louder when they aren't getting all that attention they were clamoring on and on about. See, I've lived a long life and have been around the block a time or two. You know, this isn't my first rodeo and the way the world works is a changing thing. But there's one thing I've learned for certain. Sometimes you just have to lay down some concrete and poor a solid foundation. What I know is sometimes you just have to deal with the louder factions on the court, so to speak, and give them a little of that ooh so precious attention just to quiet them down a notch or two.
