So has anyone else seen the trailer for the last Wolverine movie called "Logan"? I'm excited.

I cannot link the video from here but I think it looks great. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are in it. It has a very different feel to it from all the other super hero movies.

It is an adaptation of the "Old Man Logan" comic. Hopefully they leave why he is beaten down the same. Loved the soul breaking they did in that comic.
 
Some changes are the girl, Prof X finding Logan instead of Hawkeye. Really hope they keep some of the refferemces of the fate of the heroes in the movie. Like Pym Falls, Hammerfall, Hulk, X-Men, Cap America, White Queen, Blackbolt, Spiderman and Punisher...

I wouldn't say terrible but they aren't good.

Hopefully this one is different as it has an exceptionally different feel to it in the comics. Like when Wolverine realizes what he has done.
 
How many of these comic book superhero movies are out there? I've seen bits and pieces of a few but it seems like over the last 7-8 years there's been like 30 or more of these brain dead action movies and people just eat them up and give studios the ability to print money just by churning out more of the same old crap over and over.

Ummm... Dr. Strange came out this week.

And it was good.

People like to escape, Gameface. Super hero movies are fun to watch. There are worse ways to escape.

I get it. I'm not judging people for the ways they like to escape. I'm not a fan of the 120min movie format in general and especially not action movies. For me I can't watch them for health reasons because I almost brake my eyeballs because of all the eyeroll inducing stupidity. But I know I do dumb **** for fun too.

The thing I like the least is that these movies take up production bandwidth that could be spent on other types of movies that bring something a little bit new and different to the table. But since these types of movies are pretty much guaranteed to succeed its not worth taking a chance on that other stuff.

Main stream movie makers are mostly out of new ideas. Rehashing old stories.

If you are looking for "new" perhaps go the indie route?

Wow. That is unique, especially on Spiderman. 1 and 2 (especially 2)are widely regarded as the best superhero movies ever. The most recent Spiderman was considered one of the worst of all time.

I was just checking out the 2013 movie today and had to cut in half to get to somewhere else I needed to. It's great to learn that there is more to it. Looking forward to catching up.
 
Lol at the old Spideys being the best superhero movies ever and therefore better than Nolan's DKT.
