Somebody make the list
Off the top of my head
Subject to change by anyone :) :) :) :)

1. Jordan
2. LeBron
3. Magic
4. Jabbar
5. Wilt
6. Bird
7. Kobe
8. Olajuwon
9. Curry
10. Shaq

Not bad. It's hard to know where Steph fits in there. Like I would rather have Steph than bird but have no problem with anyone taking bird over Steph.

Steph is tough to place just because he is kind of one dimensional. He is just so good at the one dimension which also happens the be the most important dimension that you kind of have to overlook the fact the he doesn't do a whole lot of other things great.

Plus his gravity and the space he provides for his teammates is hard to quantify.

But when you boil it all down he changed the game about as much as any player in history, he has the championships, the gold medals and the stats. He has to be right around the top 5.

And he's one of the most clutch ever, maybe even ahead of LeBron only behind Michael.

Steph is just hands down by far the best shooter the world has ever seen.
I made this comment a few years ago but you take a player like harden. People think of him as a pretty good shooter that you wouldn't want to leave open from 3.

Harden has a total of zero seasons above 40% from 3.
15 seasons under 40%

Durant has 7 seasons over 40%. And 10 seasons under 40%

Ray Allen had 8 seasons over 40%. And 10 seasons under 40%

Dirk had 5 seasons over 40%. And 16 seasons under 40%

Steph? 13 seasons over 40% from 3. 1 season under 40% (38% that year). I'm not including his 2019-20 season because it was only 5 games long.

You can pick most any player you think of as a good shooter and Steph blows them away.
Only one who comes close was his teammate, klay Thompson.

Klay had 9 seasons over 40% and 2 seasons under 40%.
Klay is at 41.3% for his career and Steph is at 42.6%

Huge difference though is Stephs volume. 9.2 three point attempts per game for his career (with seasons as high as 12 three point attempts per game) while klay is at 7.6 three point attempts per game.

Steph is also shooting 91% from the line for his career.

Just easily the best shooter ever.

And still got four titles to MJ's six. And Michael didn't need to form a superteam to get his.
Michael didn't need to form a superteam because he was already on one. The Bulls were a hair away from making the Finals the first year MJ left. At best, you can say the team formed in Miami could match that feat.

Most of the teams LeBron took to the Finals are first round exits or worse without him.

It's a fun comparison.

His playmaking, off ball movement, and handles are all elite.
I agree but the elite handles and elite off ball movement are skills he uses to get looks at threes. They are basically an extension of his amazing shooting or they supplement his amazing shooting.

His playmaking is great but he is never near the top of the league in assists.

About 6 per game every season. I mean sexton was at about 6 per game last season if he got the minutes and he isn't a great playmaker to anyone. Curry also turns it over a bit more than sexton does per 36.

Curry is a shooter. The goat easily. He is clutch. He is a great ball handler and great at moving without the ball. But shooting is what makes him great. And it's really the only thing that makes him great. If he weren't the goat shooter then he would still be a great ball handler and move well off ball but he would be pretty average.

Some of the other goats were extremely good at many things. Steph is more one dimensional than many of the other goats.

And I'm not trying to knock him. He is my favorite non jazz player in the league and has been for the past decade. He is in my top 5 all time.

LeBron has 4 titles, Michael has 6, but MJ retired for two seasons in his absolute prime so he could have had 8. Just saying.
I think we are comparing players though which is an individual thing. Rings are team things imo.

I will have Jordan ahead of LeBron but not due to rings alone. LeBron been to more finals too. Which is a huge accomplishment. (All us jazz fans have )

It's just weird lmao. The French defense was great with Gobert in. Yeah, Lessort will give you a putback or get a postup, but their D just let USA get wide open looks
Rudy also set some amazing screens… like they hit a couple threes cuz the looks were so damn clean. I know I know screen assists yada yada but those were some of the best looks they got all day.

Michael had a super team though.

Wemby 26/7/2 and 3-8 3PT. 20 years old. Future GOAT?
Yes. Obviously. If he doesn't get hurt then he is pretty much guaranteed to be a top 5 player within the next 5 years imo. And he would just be about to enter his prime at that point lol.
