On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you for this season?

For me it's a 9 and could become a 10 with free agency.

-How will Dante do?

-Will Rudy bounce back?

-Will T Lyles break out?

-Can G. Hill, playing for a contract, perform at the all-star level of two years ago?

-Will Hood become consistent?

-Can Favors become a go-to guy?

-Will Alec have a season without injury and how good could he be?

-Will Dennis snag a stud in F.A.?

I'm most excited about Rudy, T Lyles and Dante since if those guys live up to their highest expectations we become an incredible team.

This should be a pretty good year, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too high. I've got my fingers crossed that we don't have major injury issues again.

If the Jazz sign a high quality free agent (like Gasol) to go along with Hill and the current guys, I'll call it a 9. If they have a "meh" FA signing (like Booker) I'll give it a 7.5.

After so much disappointment from last year due to injuries and never seeing if the Jazz team was going to come out on fire, picking up where they left off from the Exum/Gobert lineup. I easily have 10 expectations.
The 10 expectations though come from wanting to see if the Exum/Hood/Hayward/Favors/Gobert lineup does become a dominant lineup. The 10 expectations DOES NOT come from a GHill led lineup where he was a starting PG for a team that finished 1 game above .500 totalling the last two years.I don't see if he couldn't do it for Indiana that he can make the Jazz a dominant lineup all of a sudden.

-Will Rudy bounce back?

I'm at 9.8 excitement quotient.

It is interesting that we are talking about a guy "bounces back" from 6th in RPG, 3rd in BPG, first in rim protection FG%, 6th among Centers in DRPM. That is quite a down-year.

9. Extremely excited to see what a healthy team can do

8 Largely because I'm interested to see how Dante has developed. That number could drop or rise depending on free agency/trades. It dropped because of the draft.

HC advantage in round 1 here we come!!!!

Nothing but soul-crushing dominance will do. :)

10.
It's usually a 10 for me though

Yeah, like I assumed anyone who post on JFC would be at a 10. I mean, we post on a jazz forum in the off-season.

For some people, like me, using 10 on a scale of 1-10 is dumb.

So you wouldn't get more excited if tomorrow they announced Durrant was joining the team? Obviously you couldn't get more excited, you're already as excited as anyone could ever possibly be, you rated you excitement level at 10.

I'd say in this context 5 would be the average excitement level of the average person on Jazzfanz. Most years most of us have an excitement level of 5. A 6 would be above average excitement, a 7 would be very above average excitement, 8 would be extremely excited (like once in a decade level), 9 would be anticipation of the greatest Jazz season in a generation. A 10 would mean that you expect the Jazz to be the best team in the history of basketball and to take the NBA by storm.

Anyway, go ahead and use the scale like so many do, 90% of the time you're gonna pick the number 9, 10 or 1.

Yeah. I'm basically equally excited every year, even when we sucked.

7-8. Live out of state and work evenings, so I don't get to see to many games, otherwise it would probably be a 9. I haven't been at a 10 for any sports besides college football since I was in my 20's (5 years or so).
