...at least this season.

TERRIBLE!!!

chucking passes all over the court. Ingles should have just sat on the bench. Mbah a Moute??? Embarrassing. We do not deserve to make the playoffs and we have shown on this home stand that we are not the team to be in the playoffs.

I wouldn't say embarrassing, just disappointing.

Phoenix early in the season was embarrassing. At Atlanta was embarrassing.

grit and grind Jazz in the age of high scoring teams that win ...... Jazz just like last year coming down the stretch with non athletic players (like Snyder was at Duke)and struggling to score .....Do we have to hear what a great coach Snyder is just because his teams lose holding the high scoring teams under their yearly average but barely get 90 points themselves.
Jazz are not winnning anything with a 6'6 PF (Crowder) in the playoffs .
Dante Exum when he comes back should have no leash on him at all like Mitchell or Jazz aren't going anywhere with non athletic players.

Tonight was garbage. Pluses Exum will be back Friday. Favors is going to play 50% for a different team next year. Free agents will want to play with Mitchell and Gobert. We don't have to watch Harden and Paul cry every game.

Cecil is that you ??? btw Bruce Bolden owns your ***

Not sure but didn't we get it to within about 5 with about 5 minutes left? From there it was pretty bad. Especially Donovan. Poor shot selection and turnovers. 22 turnovers sunk us. I wasn't watching super close but it seemed like we quit running plays. Did Quin use his time-outs?

the guys played with effort. Their brains and jump shots did not cooperate. Frustrating... yup... Embarrassing... no way.

they made tons of stupid mistakes (horrible passes) and yes, that was embarrassing. The loss itself wasn't so embarrassing due to the opponent but a lot of the plays we made were embarrassing. Some of the strategies (coaching) were embarrassing too.

The only thing that drives me crazy on the coaching side is we switch on the perimeter too easily. Make them work for it... don’t switch unless you have to.

After the recent string of games where the offense was great this seems like a post that lacks some objectivity to me. It's pretty simple. That Jazz offense generally creates a ton of open 3's or layups if they run it correctly. Over the last month or so the team has been running it well and making 3's. Tonight they were sloppy and missed 3's. Playing defense is almost completely unrelated to offense other than allowing transition opportunities if they are turning it over a lot. Rudy generally impacts this side if he's in there so it is pretty constant unless he's out. Snyder's offense is well designed and works when the players play well. The reality is that guys were making bad reads and decisions out there.

I do think it's possible that Exum helps with this depending on how he comes back. Jae Crowder being 6'6" is fine. Teams are going smaller and smaller so there are lots of nights where this will be useful. If they go bigger you can always have Favors ready to go.

Agree 100% the other team usually wants you to switch. Maybe try a little harder to not give the opponent the matchup they want.

In fact, we ****ed up several times on the defensive end because of players unnecessarily switching, when the original defender was actually in a better position to stick to his man than switch. It was painful to watch.

A few times the screen was set so high I was like it’s a non threat.

Same thing in the potty game they set the screen so high yet we go over... if they beat us with off the dribble 40 footers I’m cool.

I think they may just do it automatically so everyone is on the same page.

I also enjoy AB missing the switch up high once a game that leads to a layup. Although AB was pretty good in the first half... outside of the fast break he goofed. If he played and just did the simple stuff and could make the easy reads he’d be so good. He’s regressed imo with regards to B.B. IQ.

Last night wasn't a good example though, we played fantastic defense overall.

I thought the effort was great. Royce fought through the screens and did fantastic on harden.

It was good but it could have been better. Offense and turnovers were a much bigger problem.
