Open Letter To NBA Players Union

Are super teams really the league you want? You are some of the hardest working people in the world. Day in day out you grind.

Should that all be for naught?

Your agents and the NBA tell you it is a business an go get paid. Should not getting paid AND having a shot at a title both be the goal?

Should you spend the majority of the year working your asses off, being away from your children an wives (from Utah), having to constantly put everyone on the back burner even when you have home games, or at Christmas just so you can get paid?

I do not think so. I think you put in all that work to achieve the dream.

Only the NBAPL can fix this. Ownership has showed you time an again they refuse to create competition. You can force it. They take advantage of you. They require you to stay under team contract for seven years. They tell you when an where you will be an fly to. They act like you are chattel.

Lockout next contract. Demand they give YOU a chance at showing your hard work was worth more than a dollar bill. Demand that they allow your children's suffering when you are gone to go unnoticed. Money is great but you cannot buy kids happiness. Maybe if they know daddy can win a ring an they are the child of that father it will replace what they endure.

DEMAND IT!

id rather not see my multi-millionaire dad, while sipping mimosas in my hot tub grotto...

I, like many, grew up without seeing my dad much, who worked 60 hours a week to make 35k.
Make that money.

So we do not want a league that is Any Given Sunday? If you were a player you would want your hard work to go to waste? Gotcha @salty dawg

I'm sure that for $100 million plus for many of them, they really don't care that much.

I do not believe your cynicism to be true. You really believe every NBA father cares not for his children? (Or for results).

This is illogical. Of course they care how do you think they got there in the first place?
