What's new

Our Utah Jazz @ the San Antonio Rabid Bat Murderers 4/2, 1:30 PM Mountain on ABC

I think our defense has to step up if we want to go anywhere in teh playoffs. It doesnt matter how good or bad Gordon is offensively, if you let a team shoot greater than 50% from the field and from 3, you are going to lose 90% of the time.

Oh our defense definitely needs to get back on track. While they played great against the Wizards the other night, they have been playing a little soft in my eyes since Cleveland.

As far as Hayward... He is going to get maxed. IMO he needs to step up and have a K. Leonard type game in big moments. I'm not saying he's as good as Kawhi, but he's plenty capable of playing a similar game as Kawhi played today. Yes, our identity is defense, but going 6-19 with a 6 point loss, one or two shots could've made a difference. He's not the only one though. Hood(-12) needs to find some consistency somehow and Hill needs to play.

Jazz had plenty of opportunities in this game and kept letting the Spurs build a bigger gap every time. Jazz didn't play with enough intensity is the bottom line. I know we're short handed but it really shouldn't be a crutch at this time of the season, especially given that we've played a quarter of the season in this type of situation.

This was a very winnable game. And we needed it much.
"Oh well, it's a road game in SA so L is all right" thought the players, just like the posters above. That's lazy. SAS with nothing to play for fielded a mediocre roster. It was winnable af.

The Jazz played defense for several minutes in Q2 only and got on a 20-4 run. Poor defense rest of the game and only Gobert, Exum and Ingles tried.

Leonard killed us. They need to run him off the 3-point line, force him to go into Rudy. Also, neither Hood or Hayward played well. Why not give Burks some minutes?

We're kidding ourselves if we think a Spurs team under Pop is going to relax right now regardless of who is on the floor.

too bad, given who San Antonio sat out. Hopefully Gordon gets some rest soon.

I was pleased with this game. Would have been happier with a win, but I liked the effort. I felt like Rudy was getting pushed around a lot today, but obviously their game plan was to take him off of his.

I think in the next couple of years if Rudy keeps working and getting stronger like Hayward, he will be a beast and unstoppable around the basket, kind of like Shaq, not as strong but with more quickness and lift.
