Reports are Pacers may make a play at trading for Paul Milsapp to fit their hole at PF. Why type of package do you think it would take to make it work for the Jazz?

As brought up by some guy on the Daily Dime.

I personally would hate to trade the dude, as he is probably my favorite Jazz man, but Darren Collison would make a great backup PG.

The story mentions Hibbert as part of the deal potentially. I don't see that happening. I would like to see this to try to make a play for Collison or Hill though.

The only way I see the Jazz doing this is if they get Granger or Collison. I don't think Pacers are willing to go that far though.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but if it makes us better and takes away the constant Milsap is a 3/4 talk I would sign off on it.
You hear that Greg, consider this approved if we get Grainger, Collison, or Hill, and some cash. :-)

Maybe a 3-way deal with another team? Bring in a PG and picks maybe, and cash? It could come together. I still think it is more or less a fart in the wind.

The only players that intrigue me or Granger, Collison, Hibbert, and George. Out of those 4 the only one I think they would give would be Collison.

I like Hibbert, but with our already loaded frontcourt I'd rather just hold on to what we have. Like others have said Collison and George interest me since I'm sure Indiana has no plans on moving Granger, but I think either of those 2 could help our lacking backcourt.

Collison and George looks alright. Millsap is the better player but he's superfluous and Jazz could use George at SF. Collison could be great in Jazz uni.

Dunno, but there's something here worth discussion.

Collison and George's salaries add up to 3.8 mil. Millsap makes 6.7 mil next year per Hoopshype. Per David Locke salary have to match with 140%. 1.4 *3.8 = 5.32. We need another player to make this work. I like Colison and George as players. If I had to pick I would take George and Posey with a draft pick. I would then waive Posey. Of course we could go the other way and make it Memo + draft pick for Posey and George.

Pacers have nothing I'd want to make this deal worthwhile.

**** Granger - guy's useless unless the ball is in his hands and he makes about a billion dollars a month. He's been the man in Indiana for the last 4 years and hasn't managed 40 wins in any of them.

Hill and George are decent complimentary players; but neither will be as good as Millsap.

They're not trading Hibbert - he's the only true center under contract right now.

I have a really hard time seeing the Pacers getting rid of Hibbert. If the Jazz and Pacers are going to be partners, the deal is going to be centered around either Granger or Collison.

The big question for the Jazz is who do you want to keep out of Jefferson and Millsap? One of them is going to be traded before the end of the season... it just depends on which one brings in the better value and which one you see as part of the future Jazz team. If Kanter develops into something then both will be gone but for now you need to decide on one or the other. Personally, I feel that Jefferson is move valuable but I'm not sure if he would fetch any higher price than Millsap would.

I could see a Millsap/Harris for Collison + other goodies going down.

I know there is a lot of talk about Granger, but there is no way they give him up unless it's for multiple picks and quality players. I think they also really like Paul George, and think he could be an All-Star someday. To me though, I'm mostly interested in Collison. He's young and could be our PG of the future. He'll probably never be a star, but he could be a top 10 PG in the league. No shame in that.

Do the jazz even like Collison or George? They passed up on both of them in the draft

I think this deal almost has to involve Hibbert based on the jazz love affair with him going into the draft

Can't see them dealing Granger away
