Package Joe & Bogie …

Never say never. What if someone like Harrison Barnes or jerami Grant is available? I would at least entertain the idea. Plus we are on the brink of mediocrity even if we keep everyone. You can't defeat age. But I agree Jingles and JC would be the ones we'd look to trade first.
So, you’re hoping teams just decide, what the hell, let’s lay down for the jazz

I think as long as we have Rudy and he continues to perform at this level (so far he’s only gotten better each year) we’ll be elite. Nobody talks about his athleticism but for a guy his size he’s a freak athlete with quick reflexes and a quick jump. And the other guys aren’t as bad as they’re made out to be. If Bogey was black he’d automatically be generally regarded as 20% more athletic.

And if you’re thinking you can swap JC out for superior athleticism, “fawget about it”! He’s a freak with a high motor and a good handle, even if he’s still figuring it all out sometimes.

I used to say Gay should take over bogeys starting spot but I'm not sure now. Bogey has been very consistent lately and playing some defense. joe otoh is clearly playing old and slow. you can't fix this unless maybe he finds the fountain of youth.

You're not sure? Gay looks every bit as old and slow as Joe does and nobody in their right mind would ever consider starting him over Bogey.

Agreed but there seemed to be a lot of forum sentiment in that direction after Gay’s jackrabbit start for us out of the gate. I gotta respect Agent’s admission in that regard.

bogey is great offensively but we all know he's a liability on defense. every team targeted him last year either he gets lost on defense or just mindlessly bump into joe. Gay maybe slow and old but he's long enough and smart enough to hold his ground,he have the experience. problem is he's a bit off these past few games so well see his true value in the playoffs.

We just ran into Bolerhack. We were looking for the elevators to the suites and he was going down to the floor levels. But he looked like as usher so we were asking him where the elevators went. Lol
God I hope you took the opportunity to teach him the difference between a bounce pass and a skip pass.

Trading Bogie would honestly be a disaster. He's our second best offensive player... why the fanbase decided he was expendable i'll never know. Unless there is a player available out there we don't know about, trading bogie for a "defensive wing" would probably sink the 18% chance we have at winning the championship to 5%.

Bogey is a scorer and a (helluva) floor spacer

But he can't rebound (which frustrates me a lot when people cite his and Ingles size, as when they say he's 6'7" or 6'8", but then you look and said guy plays as a smaller guy than Royce O'Neale, it only makes me despise them, especially the one that supposedly should be enough athletic to at least be better in this regard than he actually plays), can't stay in front of people, can't playmake (bad reads and even worst the passing), and only create offense of his onw when posting up against smaller guards that are tottally crap at defending, cause if the guard is any decent at getting deflections (or even charges), he'll have very reasonable chances at picking his pocket, cause his handle isn't really tight.

So yeah, Bogey is very good, and been playing great. But no, Bogey ain't the Croatian Klay Thompson (still not a playmaker or ballhandler, but at least before injuries was night and day as a defender compared to Bojan, and was a much more explosive scorer) or smaller Dirk Nowitzki. He's way tradeable, for the right package, which is always that much more complicated, as there are thousands of trades out there to make you worse, but not always even one to make you better

Tony Jones suggested on his podcast that we trade for Josh Hart from the Pelicans. He is a slightly bigger Royce O'neale and that is a good thing for the team. Right now Ingles is the weakest member of our rotation. So it makes sense to pull him from the line-up.
