What's new

Parker is gona be a marvin williams esque bust.

Out of the big 3-4 who is the safest pick?

1- Julius Randle - Just a stud
2- Marcus Smart - Very strong physically to have a lot of match up problems. Warrior mentality.
3- Andrew Wiggins - Athleticism and potential to standout defensively to better translate to the next level?
4- Jabari Parker - I am worried about his defense. Not as athletic. Nice J.

I would say randle is the least risky... he will be good

Then jabari parker.... I believe randle and parker are pretty sure things.

Wiggins next up..... Though i doubt he busts.

Smart will probably be good but he is kind of a tweener and i could see him with a tyreke evans type of career.... which is not all that bad i guess

I tried to get some dialogue going on this in another thread. Since i am very interested in this question i will try again. Isn't Parker a tweener also? He is only listed as 6' 8", not an NBA center, perhaps a small forward ( stretch 4?) and maybe a power forward. But most of all how would he fit into Jazz roster? Same questions about all the others being considered, by the sage draft experts of jazzfanz. Seriously i am curious to hear what you all think, instead of everyone just rooting for their favorite player because he comes from a program you relate to.

I think the kind of tweener that Parker is throws other teams defenses way off. If Parker can play good defense on either the 4 or the 3 position, then he is gonna be amazing. If he is a power forward, he can hit from all areas on the floor, shoot threes better than most PFs. If he is a SF, then he can post up the other small forwards, and punish them for being so small.

When your really really good it's not callled being a tweener, it's called being multi-positional.

I think parker would make for either a good small forward or a good stretch four.

Where smart might be a bad point guard and a too small bad shooting guard.

Also what ugli said

Ya guys. That's the kind of stuff i am looking for. Now how does he or some other option fit in with the Jazz future? Myself i see Parker as being a SF ( his game seems multidimensional for sure). Don't think he is big and strong enough to play power forward as i think he would have trouble defensively. That seems to make Parker my choice at this point as i think he could fit into the team nicely.

I like this UGLIbaby. But i believe there really is such a thing as being to small to play PF and too poor of a shooter/driver to be a SF. Personally i like my center and PF to grow to a little over 6'9" at least. But i don't forget that Karl Malone and Adrian Dantley seem to disprove my personal likes. There is always the exeptional player who can just about play anywhere. Multi-positional like you said. But that takes a rare talent.
