Parsons to become RFA

would you guys take him instead of hayward? jazz might offer parsons, if boston offers hayward $$$$$$$.

I would, hes a better offensive player, more confident shooter, and most likely cheaper. I keep telling myself im cool with giving a Hayward a big contract, but when i see 30% from 3 on 3.6 attempts, it makes me a bit queasy.

Parsons I think is more suited and battle-tested for the role the Jazz need him to play (SF). IMO hes more natural off the ball than Gordon, and hes better attacking closeouts (not a surprise as his 3 point shot is more dangerous). With Trey and Alec around i dont see the need to pay a premium for Gordons playmaking, Parsons is no slouch passing the ball either.

Like Fixed said, I would assume Houston is only doing this becasue they are willing to pay him. Hopefully someone offers him a very large deal and Houston feels forced to match.

What is Houston's cap space situation though?

They can't have a lot of money to spend with Howard/Harden maxed out and Lin/Asik eating up a lot of money.

He's far better than Hayward. He fits in perfectly with their system. No way Houston lets one of their top shooters surrounding Dwight go.
