Dropped 26 vs US and got Kobe Bryant's praise. Averaged 22 points during the Olympics. Could be a great backup point.
He's one of those players who look good but are secretly awful.
I saw him play live a couple of times. One time he played great, and the second time... not so much. I do think he would make a good back up guard. He can shoot pretty well too. Mo Williams would start over Patty Mills. Mainly because I think KOC has a man crush on Mo.
But not mainly because Mills sucks a nob?

Nope, it is all about the man crush.
Mills is a better shooter but worse passer, both are quick but Mills may be quicker, Watson is the better defender. I'd still rather have Watson, he's a better PG.He'd be a better option than Earl in the rotation.

Watson would only be here for one year. I'd rather have Mills grown with our team if it had been an option.
It really depends on which watson you are comparing mills with - if it is the watson of the last 1-2 months of the season who couldnt hit the side of a barn, yet alone, make a hoop - give me patty mills every day of the week - watson seriously needs to get back a resemblance of an offensive threat - or else he will be seeing a lot of pine this season.
Mills is a shoot first pg, and therefore might not be what we want - he is fearless tho, and tries his guts out, and has the ability to impact games when on - I am just concerned that there would be too many night where he wasnt on - and if he wasnt hitting shots, he might not be at a stage where he can create for others - if he developed that side, he would be a good player.

Sorry to bump, but should make a play for millsy as a back up to trey. Mills has developed nicely at the spurs. Is ready for 15-20 regular back up mins.
Mills' 32 points lift Spurs over Bobcats 104-100
